I think it was because rituraj is a strong character as compared to neil as he is very gullible character. And trp audience who likes seeing the bechari fl would find it weird to see such a weak male character

Yes. Actually this two men one woman concept is interesting. But the execution is weak. Like ishq mein marjawa show, they could have showed sml and fl being in love for years. In such instances, we can feel something for fl's heartbreak. Here fl is more obsessed with being fan girl than her goal of becoming singer.

I think they're gonna scrap the nagpur family soon, because it would take at least one week for everything to settle between both the families after mohit's death but ghum cannot afford to lose one more week for story establishment
