Uska baar baar Aparajita chant karna is cringe that I agree to. But itne din baad to koi shy, introvert, non ambitious padhaku dekhne ko mila hai varna aajkal studious leads ko over ruthless, ambitious, savage dikhaane lage the. Baad me bhale hi thoda bahut change karein but for the time being I like his shy introvert persona more.

I don't think wo ambitious nahi hai. Kafi career-focused lagta hai mujhe. I think acche se kaam karna aur tarakki karna chahta hai.

Actually I feel pehle thoda delulu dikhaate hain, to when such a person changes gradually, to uska impact zyaada parta hai. Aparajita aparajita ka jaap cringe to hai kaafi, par the more delulu and old school Neil is, the more his heartbreak after knowing truth would affect audience. Fir aise me character transformation also makes sense because audience knows that he felt shock and betrayal. Varna abhi non chalant rahega to his heart break would feel like an overreaction.
