I think there're two reasons. First, Param's popularity and second, Neil's character. Param is more popular than the female lead and the parallel lead. As far as I know, it is Param's 7th show.

exactly!! i mean lets be honest, guys like neil (have the hardest time getting a gf) because har ladki ke dimaag mein apni life partner ka image is of what rituraj is like. only after a few failed relationships is when we realise that we want to be with a guy with a secured life and caeer and thats when guys like nel come into place. Just because humein woh green flag lag rha hai humein teju (jo sabse realistic hai woh irritating lagri hai)

This trope I hate a lot when male lead let's go of the love of his life that easily. Love and marriage me jitna nurturing spirit hona necessary hai utna hi fighting spirit hona bhi.

Bold@ Absolutely! He looks like a rockstar. In the Bengali version, the guy who played the role of rockstar Anurup was a complete misfit. I mean that Bengali actor gives me vibes of a writer or a teacher. But rockstar? No way! I know about it because I'm Bengali.

In Bengali serials, I find Krushal Ahuja quite good looking. Rest the actors I have seen in Bengali industry, they've a sort of intellectual or academic look. Krushal has that dashing, rockstar factor but the guy is stuck doing Jhanak.

I've been in both Teju and Neel's shoes partially. Face to face, I'm quite introvert and shy and quite awkward in speaking to people other than those I'm comfortable with. Aise logon ke saamne koi thodi bhi kindness dikha de even towards ppl other than themselves, they take it very seriously and they do get stuck over one person. But with time you realise, just because you were kind and nice to a person, it doesn't mean that person would return you in kind. So Neil ka delulu is quite familiar to me.

On the other hand, even I would choose a Rutu over Neil in real life despite being in Neil's shoes because romantically, having chemistry and spark with someone matters a lot more than someone just being a nice guy.

Absolutely! Krushal is definitely good looking! Even though he acted in Bengali show named Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay? (How can I say to you?) he's not Bengali. And Supriya Devi's (a very popular film actress of old generation) grandson, Sean Banerjee is handsome. He played the role of a doctor in a Bengali show and looked suitable for that role. I consider Honey Bafna to be good looking as well.

Also nostalgia factor is hugely involved here. Param played a high school guy in Parvarish when I was in school, he played an Engineering student in Sadda Haq when I was in Engineering, and now when I am in 30s, he's playing an uncle kind of guy. So even when one is not a fan, thoda vo factor ho jaata hai ki an actor you've been watching since school days is returning on screen and uska youth show star se uncle type journey feels relatable. Vaise bhi us time ke kai actresses and actors have not been seen on screen since long, so koi bhi dikh jaata hai, to I get hyped up.
