Each Arshi scene has a different feel attached to it.He wanted to stop but his mind had his own way of processing things.

He was going through a lot of emotions. One side he was missing his mother and somewhere his Khushi. The recent events that he went through letting Khushi know of the reason of this marriage. Now what? That was his question.

I think the makers just came up with this idea of airport and brought this he used to go out of country on his mother's anniversary under the name of business meeting just to stay out of sight for a little longer. Get busy to forget pain.

That sequence was to make them realize beyond heartbeats. They could feel it and had no strength to deny it but to accept it.
