Why are people so obsessed with drawing parallels?

The individual characters of Armaan and Abhira, as well as their relationship as a couple (Abhimaan), have evolved since their first divorce. You can't expect parallels in completely different situations. And honestly, why would you even want them? Can't we hope for fresh scenes with a new perspective?

I know we shouldn't expect that from Bhavna; she's blind and lazy-but that doesn't mean we should stoop to that level too.
