I dedicate this to my friend Sydell who wants the Parth,Adnan,Ketaki version of the movie Hum dil de chuke sanam where the characters of Salman-Aishwarya unite.
I had started this story in another thread.But since my friend Sydell wants me to change the names of the characters I started a ne thread to repost this story with different names.

Part 1
VENUE
An engagement function was happening.The couple Vanraj Nandini exchanged rings.
Nandini's mother Sarla gestured from a distance asking her to smile while Arjun's mother Veena also gestured him to smile.

Nandini and Vanraj smiled when the photographers clicked the photographs of the newly engaged couple.

Vanraj looked at a photograph and wept.
Vanraj : I miss you.
Vanraj thought:I need to tell the truth to Sakshi.
Vanraj rang up Sakshi:Hi Sakshi...
Nandini said slowly:Hi Vanraj!
Vanraj :Nandini...Shall we meet? I need to talk to you.
Nandini :Even I want to meet you Arjun.I want to talk a lot.
Vanraj : Ok..then we will meet at the coffee cafe?
Nandini :Ok..I will come.
Vanraj and Nandini finally met at the cafe.They sipped coffee together.
Vanraj :Nandini...I want to tell you something.
Nandini :Vanraj...please listen to me first.If I don't tell that to you I will not get peace of mind.I will go mad.
Vanraj : Ok..you say first Nandini .
Nandini:I love someone else.
Vanraj was shocked.

Nandini :He came and stayed in our guest house to learn music from my father.

Nandini's father Raghuveer Arora is a famous singer.He taught music to a very few students on the basis of talent.He was really impressed by Sameer's talent during the audition and made him stay in the guest house along with other few students to teach him music.
Raghuveer and Sameer spread the fragrance of music during the music classes.

After her father went out she smiled at Sameer. He also smiled sweetly at her.

Nandini was in tears:Papa..it's not like that.
Raghuveer slapped Sameer.
Raghu:I trusted you.So I made you stay here.But your back stabbed me by eyeing on my daughter.I will never forgive you for that.
Sameer was upset:Please don't say like that.I never had bad eye on Nandini.I really love Nandini.
Raghu:If you had really loved her you would have told me directly instead of romancing her secretly or brought a marriage alliance through your parents.But you...
Sameer :I have no parents.I am an orphan.I wanted to tell you about our love.But I was waiting for the music course to get over first.
Raghu:I can't trust you anymore.So you just leave from my house.
Sameer and Nandini were shocked.
Nandini:Papa...how can you send him out of the house?
Raghu:Don't utter a word Nandini.I gave you freedom.But you misused it.Now I won't listen to you.
Nandini was in tears.
Sameer :Please give me one more chance.I request you not to send me away.
Raghu:Raghuveer has only one decision.Just leave.I don't want to hear anything.
Sameer walked after him begging him..pleading him.But Raghuveer did not care.
Nandini was in tears.Sarla and Pragya tried to console her.
Sameer was really upset.
Abhi:Sameer..don't think that you are a big zero.You can join my band in Goa.I am sure that very soon the world will come to know of your talent and you will become a famous singer.Then Raghuveerji won't refuse to hand over Sakshi to you.
Purab was relieved:Thank you so much Abhi.You are an Angel in my life.
Abhi smiled patting on his shoulder.
Sameer met Nandini before going.
Nandini cried:Why this is happening with us?I am so weak that I am not able tostop you.I can't even go against my dad.
Sameer wiped her tears.
Sameer:It's ok Nandini.I am happy that you are not a daughter who leaves thefather for the lover whom you met recently.I proud of you Nandini.

Vanraj :Then why did you agree to marry me Nandini?
Nandini :Later I realized why dad was against my relationship with Sameer.It was because he had already given his word to your father to conduct our wedding.I refused.But dad was worried whether my refusal will break his friendship with his friend.In that pain and fear dad had heart attack.I could'nt bear dad's condition which was caused by me.So I agreed to marry you.
Vanraj simply looked at her.
Nandini:I am sorry Arjun.I broke your heart.But...
Sameer :You did not break my heart Nandini.I am not at all upset.You did'nt ask me what i want to tell you.
Nandini:Sorry..I forgot everything else while busy narrating my tragic love story to you.Say Arjun.

Nandini was shocked:Then why did you get engaged to me?

Pragya:But the fact is that Nandini has moved on.She is engaged to Vanraj. So even Sameer can move on.He deserves true love in his life.Still we have not informed him about Nandini's engagement withVanraj.
