Watching the episode now, and it seems like they wanted Chandan out. It’s not easy to make a dish with bhut jholokia as the hero.

i feel when he made that dead fish comment, kinda saw it coming + the bone in the fish + dull plating also led to the decision to some extent.

I think Chandan used that comment to make up for his forgetfulness. Nikki also forgot the name of her dish in the pressure test. Chandan is a comedian, and he was nervous. And he has repeated several times that he does not know about these fancy dishes. It's easier to ask someone to learn but difficult to be in their shoes. I am so sad that he is* out

just saw someone the friday's episode ..i think it was all a set up by the makers to oust IMO...otherwise, why was he given the ghost pepper with the highest scoville without lucky draw or asking one of the contestants from the winning team to determine which contestant was gonna cook with which pepper...it was scripted/pre-planned...

it was preplanned...otherwise, why give him the ghost pepper? unless, he said it offscreen himself and if that was uploaded somewhere then it would be believable..i believe this is too keep usha in the game as she's giving the drama quotient more than chandan...otherwise, usha should be the one to be ousted...even faisal choosing usha seemed preplanned otherwise why would he say things like she's his mother age or whatever to save her??
