And you're right, Hanuman was equally important to Ram as his brothers. Ram had so many capable ones around him, he could choose the best among best for any task he wanted done.

By the way, Hanuman never knew or met Rama before he encounters them in Rishyamukha mountain. That was the first time Rama enters his life and he learns about Rama slowly and his devotion increases. The entire journey is beautiful in in its own way and doesn't need the excessive linked stories which series these days portray. Also, Hanuman leaves with the rest of the vanars to Kishkinda after the coronation. I assume he did visit Ayodhya when he felt like it but didn't permanently stay there. And interestingly the Uttar Kand mentions vanars being a part of the Ashwamedha Yagya but not Hanuman or Sugreeva or Angada in particular. Vibhishana is mentioned to have attended with rakshasas.

Watched the episode and what irks me is the storyline. They are back to LuvKushayan...

Luv and Kush are away and immediately "Ram"Rajya falls apart and after such careful waiting Ram sees everything fall apart. Luv Kush were needed to establish the perfect rajya and even then it wasn't enough. Kaliyug scenarios have taken over Ramayan.

Show makers need to remember that Ram is not a vanara and making him do 180 degree somersaults all the time is not acceptable. He's not a performing monkey. He says one thing and in later episodes does the opposite. He promises Sita something in the wedding and then declares he broke that promise when he gave her up. He says Sita doing another agnipariksha would be wrong and now he has to ask for it. What happened to the song they kept playing so many times (the one about Raghukul reeti and promises should be kept even if one gives up his life for it)? Does it have no meaning?

And the most important of all... Do they think Rama can be bullied so easily? Just because he was gentle doesn't mean he let others manipulate him this way. He never allowed anyone to badmouth Sita even when she was banished. Why the heck would he sit on the throne depressed and let himself be pulled down?

Nothing against the actors but the story has long deteriorated.

Yes, she distracts him and Ravana goes with her. Dhanyamalini was his second queen and the mother of Atikaya, Narantak and Devantak.

Yes, before I heard valmiki Ramayan I could only imagine Arun govil as Shri Ram.

First RS Ramayan I loved all 3 actors as Ram Sita and Lakshman

But after Shrimad Ram for me Ram Lakshman is Sujay and Basant.l only.

Deepika acted as best sita till day . Neha Sargam is good but out of all 4 sita’s I have seen best one is deepika for me as an actor.

If you look closely at Prachi’s jewelry and saree color. It looks like she is dressed up as maa Lakshmi.

Well said. The person who “drank” Sastamook’s blood says such horrible things about Mata Sita. ShriRam who advocates equality of women just listens to such stuff? Just because he gives his praja the “freedom” to speak does that mean they can badmouth an any woman in this case Mata Sita who is like their mother? How does one bear it when the Sasta blood drinker says “who knows what Mata did in the thirteen years that she was in Valmiki Ashram “?

Whose fault was it that she was abandoned in the forest per original story and even in this distorted version ? Isn’t it the kings duty to ensure that she was well protected even when she lives apart from him? This thirteen years of Sita living apart is on Shri Ram was well. Valmiki Maharishi who ShriRam and other kings revered so much how can Shri Ram let any person insult him as well? Shri Ram accepted his kids. He trusts his wife and he knows they are his kids. He knows his wife stayed alive to bring up his flesh and blood . Now every person out there is also not a fool. There is such a thing called Math even in those days. They know when the kid was born . They have ways to ensure and know they are ShriRam and Mata’s kids.

The laundromat guy spoke about Mata earlier because Ravana held her captive for twelve months. Even that was not her fault but she stayed out in the open but in his garden and his premises. That was supposed to be her “fault”. Laundromat guy was uneducated but everyone else who were educated in just thought nothing of it. Matas mom in laws brother in laws Sage Vashisht and later Bhagwan Valmiki all know it was not Matas fault. Shri Ram … (assuming Uttara Kandam happened). gave importance to the opinion of a commoner and Mata Sita went to Valmiki Ashram be it abandonment or mutual separation. Now this twelve years is on whoever instigated the separation. ShriRam knew his wife was pregnant when she went to Valmiki Ashram. In fact she expressed a desire to see nature as a pregnancy wish . Whatever blood drinker fellow says about Mata is horrible. And as for a king who lets his Praja (who are his children) speak rubbish about their mother will any father put up with it? How stupid can anyone get just to show a villain guy?

Shri Ram swearing that he trusts his wife completely that dialogue was great and it was the best dialogue of the day. The Sasta blood drinkers face was not worth watching listening to ShriRam vouching for his wife. A good citizen should take the word of his king and let it be. The blood drinker has no respect for the King as well. Such things do not happen to democratically elected leaders.

I missed some episodes in the middle - somewhere between the kidnapping and beginning of the war. Will have to go back and rewatch the series.

Exactly. It makes no sense to portray Ram as someone who is gullible and will keep sacrificing himself and his loved ones for people who spout nonsense and stand against him. I understand dramatising but atleast let the story be logical
