If anyone should get the most versatile expression award it has to be barkhat bi .

But why would anyone need to ask the direction? I have no idea about islam practices, but isn't it basic for any person to know the directions? You have to just know the direction of sunrise n find it out.

I mean in Hindu culture, our temples or prayer rooms are built based on vaasthu shastra, n north-east is considered auspicious as it exudes positive energy n we determine it based on sunrise,i.e east.

If you are in new place n reading the afternoon or evening prayers u won't know where sun rose so people mostly ask... These days there are qibla apps to make it easy

Sakina samoo is too good in this drama. She is doing fantastic job as Barkat bi. Her Urdu accent is beauty. Wish my Urdu is as clear as hers.
