I feel the actual problem is golden boy followed by Abhira. Armaan never prioritizes Abhira above his family except when he is about to lose her. If family is okay then he expects her to be a slave just like him. Abhira gives gyaan to everyone but does not implement that in her own life. If the same would have happened to any of her friends she would be advising them to leave the guy but she herself daydreams about him. There is no point in blaming the family. Both Abhira and Armaan know how Poddars are. They never left any opportunity to humiliate their late mother. I always had issue with Abhira craving their approval for marriage and being so lovey-dovey with them. And as for Armaan, that man can't take a stand for himself, his bio-mom, he obviously won't do that for anyone. Just because his mom was not from any affluent family and not a choice of his daadi, she will call her ganda khoon and yeh khade khade sunta hai.. How is he a lawyer is beyond me
