My grandmother used to be the same when I was very young!! My mom shared this with me.

My dad and mom are already married. My grandmother had this Alzheimer's disease at that time. Once suddenly she forgot that my dad is already married and she spoke to the matchmaker for a rishta. That match maker called my dad to confirm if he's divorced or something!!

In Rishta you just have to imagine that Shivani and Armaan have some " dill se badhi ek dor jo dill tak jaati hain" thing which is why she somehow knows his current traits and move
