Ummm Shahi needs a new propaganda

I can already imagine the comments in this thread, so wiill happily silence it. Please itv fls ki shoshit awam, find better allies.

But why the heck is this show amongst Shahi's other shows as well demonising alimony and divorce? Firstly, alimony is a gender-neutral entitlement in India and much of the world. Men can claim alimony if they are the financially weaker partner. A partner contributes to a relationship in many non-financial forms, including unpaid domestic labour, time, and childcare; alimony is a compensation for that. Keep the gold-digging taunts in the drafts please.

Shahi's FLs are demonised for moving on, for even breathing or even befriending let alone flirting with someone else apart from the MLs.

And now the mahaanest FL is demonising alimony as if it's akin to the gravest sin in the world? Lmao, alimony is much more valueable than a relationship with a man who doesn't think twice before falsely accusing an orphan and rendering her financially vulnerable. She is painting RK as conniving mercenary while her abusers are the greatest people in the world.

It is textbook case of financial abuse according to Indian law. If anyone deserves alimony, it is Abhira. Behen apne rishton ke atte ka roti gundon aur khate phiron. Waqalat toh honi nahi.

RK is a much better a person and lawyer than anyone in this show lol. He knows how to prioritise his clients, seek justice for them and doesn't backstab them by bailing out their abuser.

It is gross how important safety nets like divorce and alimony are being presented on itv which caters to people with a median income much less than these Itv fls/mls who are magically all khandaani raees. It is reviling.

Sometimes I feel that yrkkh is actually a show about rich people and their first world problems. 🤪

According to this show, if a rich person commits a crime he/she is not entitled to be punished under the law because family is above law, even for lawyers. 🤡.

Alimony is anti-mahaanta of FLs just like abortion in the case of risky pregnancy is anti-mahaanta. 😅

This show is spreading ek ke baad ek many wrong messages because as I said, it's the show about rich people's first world problems. 😂

First world mein people either protect their individual assets through prenup or don't skimp on alimony. This ain't happening in first world lol

This show does not do one bit to reduce the stigma of divorce and alimony. Instead it gives air to the notion that they are disrespectful and somehow the one getting should be ashamed of themselves. I swear the day the rishta shuts down na, it will be a great daysmiley35

A very important point addressed!!!

This is probably Shahi's ghatiya soch that he is establishing through the show - the law decrees that a partner who is financially strong should support the one who is economically weaker. And that is how it should be right ? Sometimes it is the women and sometimes it is the men ? isme sharam ki kya baat hai ? heck, it is even lawful.

@r: ahh yess - she should remain "faithful" to her husband. ( he can be an abuser / he can accuse you of murder, but the female lead should not let those things choose someone who would respect her, treat her good. Because she has committed her life to living in misery after all.smiley8

@green: exactly.

As far as Abhira is concerned - I have seen all the previous generations of rishta, and as far as I am concerned, this generation has the most terrible leads ever. And I thought Akshara and Abhimanyu were bad, imagine. What with Armaan supporting his criminal Maa and Abhira guilt tripping her brother, now this guy as if he is the one committing a crime - ugh.

Man, RK is soooo — and I hate this word— normal and relatable. He seems far more interesting a character than the leads and his story and behaviour patterns make sense. I don't even want him as an one-sided aashiq of Abhira. With this and udne ki asha, it is clear writing on the wall that itv should move beyond magical millionaires. Get me an RK spinoff.

So true , many are shamed and given example of stupid itv when they think of abortion in case of high risk pregnancy..my close friend has low to near heart beat ..yet she was not allowed ..later the spontaneous abortion nearly she bled to death ..took her 27 days of hospitalization

A lower middle class person whose main job is stolen does not act like this ..they actually fight back ..they can't weep cry over lost love and all that ..there are bills to pay and stomach to feed ..

Some may not get support from maayka ..

Many settle for one time alimony coz they are shamed for the money.

Showing how standing for your siblings is wrong or letting yourself manipulated for feeling guilty...

Before marriage when we discussed deal breakers, my siblings esp my older bro was one imp one ..I have cut off from relatives also even cousins who have abused or said something bad about him ..

Moving on is not addressed properly by many ..it does not always mean another man ..it could be concentration on self career fam for temp basis

Roop could be shown as just a mentor or friend

I mean ml in it get j at drop of the hat ...it is romanticized but male female relationships are normal and common..my bff of 25 years is a man ..and no my husband or fam incl inlaws have an issue ..that way damm lucky ..even my then husband 93 year old nani was chillax ..coz they believe someone who is so open and blunt and will not lie

Very well said ❤️ and I am liking RK so far. Any itv show especially the ones on star plus(ghum, Anupama, yeh rishta) FL are super mahaan and ml super toxic. I didn't watch Anupama much but started watching recently and already finding that prem toxic too plus the actor cannot act.
