I had same question...jethu ke pas itna lakhs hai to gaali kyu sunte they roz ..he literally had one dialogue Agar hum gareeb na hote to......he couldn't afford food or medicine for Apu. Biwi is working like maid in her own home and he has money to give Mimi..bhai had hai matlab..pheko par itna nahi ...

Even if gobar is preferred...still it's not more preferred than Runak when Anishit were not married or didi didn't rape Ani...that's why saying...the show can never regain its OG charm and trp..
