Why would saif cry for giving alimony

I read about his interview in 2005 about him saying he needs to pay remaining 2.5 crores out of 5 crores as part of alimony payment . Considering the value of wealth he inherited this seems like a small amount . Why did he cry saying he didn’t have any money left over after paying 1L for his son till he turned 18 ?

Is he kanjoos when giving money to his own kids ?Whole family is in entertainment field . Is he supporting any cause to give back to people who made him star ?

He might not be having that much money in cash form. Most of the assets would be in his parents' name.

Most of his assets are inherited and he may not have the rights to sell them.

As an actor he is probably mid range and so he many not be having much in cash.

For one, everything belonged to his father then. Two, he can't very well be like, 'lemme sell Pataudi Palace and pay alimony.' And maybe his dad was pissed off at him for the messy divorce, so asked him to clear his own mess. He has been problematic in the past - black buck case, brawls at restaurants, Rosa, etc.
