I believe this song reflects Netaji's dream for India - that of self-reliance, his economic vision for the country and his belief that India will be second to none and Indians should bow down to no one especially these lines ...

Also, the song's repeating refrain 'Aage hee aage badhaoonga kadam' is a direct call back to Netaji's INA's slogan of 'Kadam kadam badhaye ja.'
