Sonu Nigam is the only singer to comeback after a break - Singer Shaan - Page 2

Most of the singers cannot announce that they have recorded a song till the movie or song is released officially. Because the music directors can re-record the song anytime and the singers may not even know most of the times.

Yes, Sonu was supposed to sing hangover for the Kick but Salman replaced him due to the royalty issue. And we all know how Salman is as a singer. Kudos to Aamir though for convincing T-Series to retain his songs for PK?

However, as for YJHD, he was already replaced even before he tweeted this, but was it even before the copyright amendment for singers’ royalties were passed? Looks like maybe music director Pritam wasn’t impressed with his voice in Subhanallah which he initially recorded, and had Indian Idol 5 winner Sreerama Chandra replace him. And his singing was pretty good IMO.

no YJHD was in the line up in the same season as Kick , Main tera hero, heropanti and heartless ...copyright amendment were passed in 2012 ....since then Sonu took a firm stance on it ...... Pritam had to replace him ..... pritam told in interveiw that this incident where i replaced sonu voice was very tough for me as Music label and directors were interfering as they didnt wanted sonu nigam song in the album ....as the music rights were with T Series ......although Sriraam sang well but he sang by copying Sonu style in the song which is evident by listening to it .......pritam said if it happen to me i will also feel bad as i am a senior person myslef .....so i call senior singers only when i am hundered percent sure that no one else would interfere ..... regarding PK it was raju hirani who took stand for retaning Sonu voice .... not amir khan

But I recall sonu said in an interview that he was angry that Pritam replaced him as he thought his voice was superior. If it was because of copyright than he would have said so and did not stop working with Pritam which he did until Laal Singh Chaddha. So what you’re saying is that the recoding and composition of songs happen even before filming starts?

sonu voice not replaced due to mere tweets ..... he started protesting everywhere ..... he took all the singers to T Series office ....where bhushan kumar got disturbed and asked sonu why you brought everyone .....sonu said that we just wanted to talk and settle the issue face to face .... most probably in during early 2013

as of now i suppose sunny sanskari ke tulsi kumari has his song by pritam...
