I will answer the roasting question first. Actual roasting sessions are much much worse. If you want to know how bad it gets.....search fr Kusha kapila roast by Samay raina. The roast was so bad the host had to cut it out of the episode.

I dont watch roasting much though. So I will just say some general things . Children of Layan's age forget people they havent met in a long time......its not a big thing. Parents are aware of this. Making jokes out of that situation is also common. I can give examples too but I will not bring personal life here . Making jokes like your child doesnt resemble you , your child loves me more etc etc are pretty common and not offensive when said in good faith and good humor.

Was the joke necessary ? Definitely not. Could it have been avoided ? Sure

But was it degrading /vile / demeaning ? I dont think so. The joke didnt say anything bad abt that kid or Viv .

Yes different people have different level of sensitivity.... dts true.
