Geo typically drags dramas by adding flashbacks of old episodes. But here Haseeb slowed down and butchered new scenes by having overly stretched intros and outros, long pauses, having actors esp. Maya and Amar really slow down their dialogue delivery and break up sentences, plus all the filler scenes that add nothing to the narrative and at times ruin the arc or dilute performance impa t. Like having 2-3 Wahaj filler scenes of sulking brooding to bgm would be great and add some depth, but having 20-30 such scenes with same 2-3 emotions just makes Wahaj's overall performance and Bilal Abdullah look monotonous.

Haseeb didn't drag by adding dialogues or new tracks but through the strategies above.

On tha paper story is not bad...what is it basically? A girl who makes a wrong decision of chosing a life partner based on wrong judgements and prejudices..marries a guy who she feels is more compatible but when she marries,his insecurities come out leading to EMA and finally Sadaf leaving the toxic marriage and finding love again...realizing what true love is..

How is the storyline bad? But the things are being dragged out so much that it becomes easier to nitpick on other flaws.

About Wahaj...he is not a cameo or something...he is basically the HERO who is misunderstood...IMO hero is not someone who has the maximum screentime but he is someone who has been presented to the audience in such a way people would root for him...that's exactly what has happened with Bilal Abdullah. I agree with the fact that story is not male centric..also I really like the fact that he has been shown in a bit grey zone who is a habitual drinker and had relationships with women initially.

Also Wahaj-Maya and all the "chemistry " thing has been added only to give this kind of story a "mass appeal" otherwise this story would have gone unnoticed..it doesn't have any massy elements.

Bilal wasn't supposed to be performed by someone like Wahaj. Its role for someone at the level of a Mikaal or Junaid or Sami. If you take out all those Wahaj filler scenes and imagine another actor in the role, you would not even question that Bilal is meant to be a secondary role. There is a reason Bilal didn't get any tracks relationships of his own separate from Sadaf, or why his trauma was not explored nor his profession, or why his cktr was reduced to only Sadaf's prem pujari. Ferize comeback project to Geo was the ML centric KAM3 where the focus was on Ferozes journey of self transformation from ishq e magazine to ishq e haqiqi. I am shocked and appalled that Wahaj ke comeback project ke liye Kaddu could only ly offer him a drama as a 3rd lead in Maya's drama. Misleading promotions and filler scenes to pad up screentime doesn't change the fact that msin protagonist(s) koi aur hai.

Krq is male lead biased so why couldn't write all this second marriage trope with bilal instead of sadaf ?? Like bilal marrying someone else and then realising true love. Sadaf could have been someone who loved him since childhood.

People would have loved the story actually. As male leads get the margin of being a messy character. It would have been sucha meaty character. Wahaj would have aced the role.

Nope. He has signed just recently only.shooting will start. actors themselves take breaks and usually does 2 dramas or even 1 in year. These famous actors will get called actually for many and they opt some. And there are even lead actors of more age and does many dramas. In case if someone by themselves doesn’t want to work and quit that’s different story.

Not all krq dramas are ML biased. Agar ML centric drama banana hai toh ML centric script likho. In Devdas the focus was on Dev's descent into alcoholism and self destruction after Paro married someone else. The focus was NOT on Paro's marital life with her husband, their problems, and hus husband's mistress and work life. Agar aisa hita toh film ka naam Paro hota not Devdas. In KAM3, the focus was on Feroze as he moves to Iqra's havel, his job there, the relationships he built at his job and in the mazaar, him getting good shot, going to mazaar, his life there. The story was about his personal transformation. Pyare Afzal after e12 or e13 till e37 was about Afzal moving to Karachi, becoming gangster, his life there, his engagement. It was about him. Jhoot bol kar ys filler scenes daal kar you cannot make a script ML-centric. You can't even improvise this on set. The story has to be written differently from scratch. Did Kaddu really have no ML centric scripts? Forget Danish or Ferize. Even Muneeb Butt, FQ and Imran Abbas can get ML centric scripts from Kaddu, but just not Wahaj.

26 episodes mein bhi bilal ka character arc same hi hoga minus his solo piano scenes and beach scenes and solo thinking scenes (added by Haseeb)

26 episodes mein bhi ammar Humsha ka more screenspace hi hai than bilal

26 episodes mein bhi aise controversial wahiyat dialogues like do takke ki, hijra etc would have got negative response .

For stars at this level being main protagonist is more important than the hero.

Shahid Kapoor was hero in Padmavat but was he the main lead

ALI Abbas was hero in Deewangi but main lead was Danish

In Khaani Sana was married to another man but Feroze was the msin lead

Zulm main Shahid Shaikh is hero but msin lead is FQ.

22q and DNUTN main wahaj is hero but the msin leads were Hareem and Yumna

A LIST male stars on ptv do not take 2 bit hero roles if the hero is also not the main protagonist. That's why it's so shocking. Generally it's someone like Usama who is struggling to break into 8 pm slot who does this type of role. Wahaj pre TB would have been suited for this role but not Wahaj post TB.

Because in the script Bilal Abdullah is 3rd lead. Shrinking episodes will make the show more watchable but it won't change what cktrs are supposed to do.

Also not dragging wont change the ott sensationalistic dated tone of the show which is a huge problem. Krq scripts work best when the Director pulls back on the ott and keeps it restrained.
