Okay participants, since two of you are not in a condition to record your voices, I don't know whether it will work for you or not, I will post the final round tomorrow and give you all a week or two to submit your entries for both the rounds together. If possible, you submit your entries for both the rounds, else we'll proceed to the results' announcement with the rest of the participants.

Do note that, we are only doing this since we don't want to lose you as a participant of this podcast contest.

That’s extremely thoughtful and helpful host! I have a doubt. Is it possible to submit our entries for round three and round four separately, that is on two different dates ?

Pehle mujhe laga tha it's only me... but ab to lagta hai sach mein there's a "Curse of the Mahabharat Podcast Competition" smiley37

During first round, I came down with throat infection, fever, etc... Anushka had given me the script early but I recorded it after almost 8-10 days... and even then, my voice was not completely back to normal. Then again, after the second round announcement, I was down with fever for a couple of days... but thankfully my throat suffered less this time.

Now it's round 3 and two other members have caught the bug smiley18.

Good thing Round 3 and 4 saath me ho rahe hai... otherwise next round tak koi bachta hi nahi smiley37. Beware of the curse guys smiley36

(Jokes apart... take care everyone smiley27)

In this final round, participants will delve into the heart of the Mahabharat by presenting a poetic recitation that explores the contrasting perspectives of any two characters. This round offers creative freedom to blend your own poetry with existing works, showcasing your interpretive and narrative skills.

Participants are required to:

  • Submit a maximum 10 minute podcast audio featuring a poetic exchange between any two characters from the Mahabharat.
  • You have the liberty to recite self-composed poetry inspired by the characters or events and/or use existing poems (translated or original) that reflect the emotions or thoughts of the characters.
  • Combine narration with poetic recitation to enhance storytelling.
  • Enhance your recitation with voice modulation to differentiate the characters.

The deadline for submission is January 20, 2025, 11:59 PM IST.

Send your entries via PM to Quantum-Dot with the subject title"MBK_The Epic Podcast Showdown R4 Entry".

1. You can record/upload your podcast audio entry in any platform. You can also use Vocaroo which is an online voice recorder. You don't need to download any app or create an account. Just go over and start recording.

2. Background music or sound effects are optional but encouraged to enhance the presentation. Ensure that your voice is clear and audible.

3. Your entry must fit the 10 minute time limit, exceeding which your entry will be disqualified.

4. You have to submit one entry for this round.

Late entries will not be accepted, so plan accordingly.

Dive into the soul of the Mahabharat, channeling its characters through poetry and storytelling. Use your voice to bridge the gap between perspectives, creating a poignant and unforgettable finale!

Good luck, and may the best storyteller win!

Hello everyone!

I wanted to offer a suggestion for the remaining two rounds after an observation I made in round 2 voting - most of us probably thought Draupadi and Gandhari would be too common... so decided to opt for someone else to keep it diverse... but instead ended up making that other choice repetitive smiley44smiley36.

With 4 podcasts on Kunti... the audience listened to nearly 40 min of the same stories being repeated... and that not only makes it boring for them, but also affects the votes... especially for those whose podcasts were later in the numbering.

To avoid this in the next 2 rounds, could we discuss which characters we are picking beforehand? Of course, no one will be asked to change their choice as a compulsion if it is being repeated... but I'm sure most of us would willingly shift to some other character. After all, there's no dearth of characters or relationships in Mahabharat... it would be easy for us to find at least 4-6 different ones to keep the podcasts diverse enough.

Just a suggestion from my side... feel free to ignore if doesn't seem suitable to you smiley36

Omg, meri mann ki baat chin li. Thanks sis. I exactly thought the same isliye I opted for *not disclosing the character*, turns out 3 other people thought just like me smiley36smiley44

If we can declare beforehand which character we are going to take, it’ll be both informative and interesting for the people who’ll be listening to it - at least they’ll get to listen something interesting instead of listening to almost the same thing all over again. I totally support this suggestion. smiley20

Thank you for the support smiley9. Since most of the participants have given a thumbs up on my post, I'll take a leap of faith and be the first one to announce the characters we (Anushka and I) have picked -

Round 3 - Shantanu and Satyavati (script is already written)

Round 4 - Not yet decided

I have 2 love stories of triangle in same podcast- Vyas-Satyawati-Shantanu and Draupadi-Arjun-Shubhadra. - So it won't come under same category, I guess

Round 4 - have to still look at the criteria properly smiley36

Yeah... that's different enough. Btw, if you're looking at love triangle, it should be Parashar - Satyavati - Shantanu. Vyas is Satyavati's son smiley1
