There is a difference between memes and trolls.

The actors who don't mind memes didn't care to acknowledge their other projects where they got criticised for their bad acting. Even when fl promoted the show, they acted like the show didn't exist. So why to put one actor on pedestal while blaming another when the actor who was put on pedestal did the same for his other shows.

At the end, majority of them want the fame and many pick up bad and questionable characters (glorifying stalking or abuse) or projects to run their house.

Don't have anything much or new to say on Wahaj and Usama.

My main problem with Wahaj is picking one bad script after the other.

Usama - the acting is just okay. I didn't find something good about his craft before and after aik sitam aur.

Overall, since I don't know these people IRL, I'd like to see good projects with good craft to make my viewing experience and time worth it.

Yumna and Wahaj being great actors and being paired up with mediocres has really been a huge disservice to viewers who enjoy stories and characters. It's distracting and because of the ones who can't really elevate the character or play it well, it then reminds you of them just acting while the other one becomes the character. It breaks that 4th wall.

Acting is reaction based and it's hard if the other person is not up to the mark or really bad.

We're lucky with QeJ. It's been handled well by the director. The editing saves a lot of things hehehe.

What about mein? Did he acknowledge that show?

He collab-ed with Ayeza on the their pictures and reels together during the airing of the show. Also did a Maria B photoshoot with her.

I guess it depends on how much all of us consider under and over promotion. For me TB can’t be compared because too much attention was definitely on it. And Wahaj keeps his insta pretty basic. For me he’s covered his bases with his shows well enough.

I also went and checked Usama’s insta. Too much Yumna right now. But I do see his and Ushna’s picture. Like I said, it’s weird if he’s deleted the SMD stuff (idk how it looked previously since I don’t follow him) but maybe he just archived it temporarily. It’s not weird for me if actor moves on from promoting one show to the newer one

And this is why the comparisons always come in. After seeing 2 actors who work so well together and sometimes work well with others too who are good, it’s just torture to see them paired up with weaker links. Because you’re always left wanting and you know that scenes would be next level if only the other actor was well matched.

Frustrating for sure. I’m not an Usama fan but I liked him well enough with Yumna in Nayab since his role was light and he didn’t have a lot of screen time to really bring my focus to that. In QeJ I was really dreading Usama in this role. So far he’s pleasantly surprised me. I’m not bowled over or anything - Usama is a very performative actor for me - but he’s holding his own here and I can appreciate the Burhan Nashwa scenes. Something I wasn’t expecting. So you’re right… maybe director has a role to play here. Maybe he pushed Usama more than others. I am liking him here.

But still Yumna aur Usama ka acting level different hi rahe ga smiley24

I think she's just come to ask them to please leave her alone. Poor Maheen. Bakhtiyar will now have to act like a strict dad for whole two days.

Ammar and Baktiyar I feel are for those moral story books.

Remember the story where the kid steals a pencil in school and mom doesn't scold him because he's her raja beta? Fast forward he steals a gold necklace for her and she doesn't really mind.... It's when he murders someone and is sentenced to death he tells her that she should've punished him when he stole the pencil. Mother tells him 'He's an adult who is responsible for his own actions'. He acknowledges his crime and confesses 'By the time he became an adult he just didn't know how to act otherwise.... Routine was easy, change wasn't an absolute necessity'

Sort of an open end for the audience to decide kiski galti hai.
