Imo this was necessary, Sita considers all brothers as her sons, so she has to be shown broken as her sons are on death bed. Also she must be feeling guilty as it's her upbringing which is in question now

I don't think they will go this route. They will take the usual route of Lav Kush singing Ramayan in front of all in the Raj Sabha of Ayodhya. There they will reveal their real identity as directed by Valmiki ji. Then Shri Ram summons Sita to be present on the court and there she goes back to earth.

Baaki as per previous ramayan jayenge toh sahi jayenge
