You know the story worked for me in the sense that Ani fell in love much later.. the transgressions were happening from his end in little ways as he was falling deeper and deeper.. he hadn’t met anyone like her before… the care she lavished on Apu Di… the way she stood up for things when he himself didn’t, ofc his attraction to her, his desire to see her succeed and that had become his personal goal of sorts and so to all those who keep bringing in the angle of cheating Arshi I want to always…life is lived in the greys…after what these two shared, it would have been impossible not to gravitate to each other and it would have taken a saint’s resolve to not to fall in love..
Ani’s exasperation that she was letting go of her chance in life mixed with his own expectations that he wouldn’t voice. Somewhere the Ad shoot was his unbecoming and he couldn’t contain it any longer but the conflict then reared its head and he assumed that she wouldn’t reciprocate and slowly he tried to let go… their last days in BH literally them indulging themselves and each other for a relationship they didn’t see fructifying for different reasons and for all that floodgates to break open at J’s outburst at him planning to marry her off when the Panditji had just the other day said their bond was eternal and him releasing the breath he had held for so long that she reciprocated his affections…

@ bold..love these lines ...i always wondered why Ani gravitated to jhanak ..jhanak had that compassion and innocence in her ..which Ani lacked in his life....given how money minded shallow his parents and family was...he looked fondly when she cared for Apu ..coz I think he lacked this softness and goodness around him ...I think being legally married was big deal also ...it did tie them and subconsciously they both accepted their belonged in a bond only those two shared and lot of their confusions fights and frustrations were from fact that they could not own that relationship publically ..Ani sincere concern for her well being had all my heart...Jhanak also gave analogy of Himalaya parbat that he was unattainable at that time to her ....and both were hiding their inner feelings from each other and ek aage step leta tha ..the other person used to pull one step back and the other followed suit ..pehle ap pehle ap wala hisab tha who will accept their shaadi ...I don't believe till kashmir night it was two timing or whatever people call it ..it was like they were confused about their own feelings and denial and were navigating circumstances against them with these confusions...it was very fascinating to watch ...they had some really beautiful scene ..ring scene was my fav ..their physical attraction was evident in rain scene on Ani bday and how he said we are married ..just man kiya bolne ka ...Ani got frustrated why could she not ignore BH insults as meaningless noise and focus on her goal to succeed and she was super sensitive to those insults prob coz of urvashi and how insults were part of their life .Ani focussed on her physical well being but ignored her emotional well being ..and she couldn't understand Ani ka concern coz she couldn't move beyond the environment in BH..it was really really fascinating..slowly and steadily they got bolder in owning their love for each other but just to keep three some going and keeping Arshi relevant and primary in center they made show illogical with each passing day .those were the days indeed when there was so much to discuss and predict ..
