Makers will continue to still keep pushing the same stale rinse/repeat narrative ki Jhanak chali jaati hai toh Anishi ka sab normal ho jaata hai, Ani khushi khushi uske saath settle ho jaata hai blah blah.....lol when you have people in this thread still throwing out points without context as if Ani wasn't being obviously awkward and avoiding Arshi even after asking her to stay post Jhanak's death...lol toh phir TV audience ka bhi soch hi lo kya samjhenge and kya bolenge.

How did they transition from innocent to vamp?

It was gradual initially and then they pulled the trigger after 200 epis to be more overt about it.

Malini was always insecure of Imlie and satisfied her ego by treating Imlie like a charity project....Imlie was so obviously poor in appearance as compared to Malini that Malini felt comfortable playing the role of benefactor who was trying to help a girl who was less fortunate than her....but she was always shown feeling jealous/insecure whenever Imlie was praised by Adi or others....then her real colors used to shine through briefly but all in all this was covered up for around 200 epis in the story.....they showed Malini attempting to "sacrifice" after learning the truth that Adilie were married first and technically she came second....so she cooked up a story of having a lover and it was portrayed to the audience that she did this so that Adilie don't feel guilty about causing her pain and can reunite....she also made a show of supposedly trying to get Adi's family to accept Imlie but otherwise enjoyed the family still continuing to consider her their valid bahu.....it was layered and more complex than Jhanak ka ham-handed approach

Anyways, long story short, Malini suddenly flipped after she saw Imlie starting to assimilate into the family and her mom was always in her ear telling her that no one is valuing your sacrifice and you left your rights for a maid blah blah....so suddenly Malini was shown claiming she will fight her "haq ki ladaai" and get Adi back....that's when she officially started her planning/plotting mode which then continued for the rest of her time in the show....they didn't alternately flip her every other day and she stuck to her evil expressions from that point onwards even as she did the usual vamp thing about gaslighting the leads and portraying herself victim.

Main difference is that leads never treated their shaadi as EMA in that story.....neither ML nor FL accepted any characterization of FL being third wheel.....Adi ki integrity wasn't constantly uchhaloed like Ani's is.....Malini blamed Adi, manipulated him, yes but she still gave him relatively more respect than Arshi has ever shown for Ani. She guilt tripped him but didn't treat him like a slave as Arshi does with Ani. On the flip side, Adi never did cheer phaad of Malini like Ani gets to do of cheap Arshi didi from time to time thoda bahut

Hmmm interesting… do you know who was there script writer for Imlie? Gul had Gautam Hegfe for IPK and much of the credit for IPK actually should go to Hegde…as also to Lalit Mohan for direction and Raju Singh for the music..

Head Script writer was Ved Raj....same guy who wrote IPK. But I genuinely don't think this show had IPK style writing....it was just very organic, earthy and different in vibe from IPK which was more bubblegum and typical Gul love story in nature. Adilie were nothing like a typical Gul pairing

A lot of credit for how the initial epis of Imlie turned out also went to the second director Rahul something....GM always gives him a lot of credit in his IVs...and I feel GM also was very involved in shaping up his character in the first 150 epis before script started veering towards typical ITV bakwaas mode.

Imlie had 4 directors on their direction team....main was Atif Khan who happened to be a former protege of Gul/Lalit and worked under them a lot before getting to direct his own shows. He'd only directed supernatural shows of Gul before this....I'm forgetting the names of the other two people but yeah the Rahul guy directed scenes most organically while Atif was always more focused on doing weird dim/yellow light effects cuz he imagined himself to be some kind of Tarantino....lots of big egos flying around there

Anyways I don't put that much credence into script writers also anymore....any of them can ruin a show at any point....lol they start off with one narrative and then try to do a volte face half-way but still expect audience to play along....Adilie were constantly shown in the narrative as destined soulmates and made for each other, that they were blessed by Goddess Sita herself.....and then suddenly 300 epis later we were being told that Adi was a "cage" for Imlie that she needed to break free from and go to the new guy who was constantly tying her up and that supposedly proved him her soulmate

Viewers are already rejecting the Arshi dying and her paap ki nishani bringing Runak together bakwaas...it's clear from all the comments found in the threads following the portals claiming this upcoming track..

.... They can still save the show by either nullifying the pregnancy or post leap not killing Arshi, instead getting her punished by Runak for her crimes..

...but I guess makers are too arrogant to change their stance regarding Arshi...I hope the show goes off air soon...no one should support this bogus track of Ani paloing rape ki nishaani and Jhanak returning in his life as a care taker for her Didi's paap... Disgusting!

I guess I missed watching Imlie…. But then again if it had to meet a fate that you all rue I guess good 😂😂

But yes… I have generally had an allergy for forced Shaadi whatever be the reasons ( though I know the major expedient reason is to keep them under one roof) I kinda liked how Jhanak serial handled it and tbh I didn’t think anything wrong with the fact that Ani and J tried to dumb it down especially as I then read it as their organic way of falling for each other although I always felt J’s actual falling in love with Ani… would happen later..In my imagination I felt J’s actual realisation would happen when she gets over the dilemma part.. Chalo chodo!! All down the drain…

It's sad that makers could not understand that they could explore a very new concept in itv called justice for violation of a man's dignity... as most fans have considered Arshi's act as a violation...they would have received a lot of appreciation and trp with the exploration of this track...but alas! Arrogance won and led to the downfall of such a promising show!

ITV has never acknowledged a man's violation....jab Imlie ke time nahin acknowledge kiya tha toh ab kya hi karna tha.

Only if TRP falls too much, they may serve some justice on that front about Arshi ke actions being exposed eventually just like Malini's actions were....but I'm not holding my breath much.
