I don't think that will happen. The makers are well aware about why this drama is a hit and I doubt ali will be fine with butchering his character to that level.

Don't get them married but Saman Shah needs to seriously talk to Shanno about leaving Mehru and marrying Amal. After that if he still looks confused about his feelings, and does not galvanise into action then his character will be truly butchered

I didn't mean that way! But if he genuinely believes Shah will soon give divorce to Mehru? Like Saman believes?

But seriously for all of Zain's drug habits, why does his brother look so zoned out all the time?

Mehru knows why Shahnawaz married her and Saman Shah was ready to falsify evidence to get Zain out so could she not be in on Shah's scheme? Yet she is just shown to be drifting from one room to another in that big house...she doesn't even think what she is going to do next?

Shanno hated spending time with Amal and now he's leading her on...for what reason exactly? He knew his mother will throw Mehru out once her purpose is served...so was his plan to just marry her and keep her for a few months? And what's with the repeated realisations of love?

This exactly... It's all random chemistry shots and beyond that it's becoming same ghisa pita stuff of the bahu looking shocked while everyone around her successfully plots and plans... And she stands and cries with strategically beautifully tears running down her face with impeccable kajal

Mehru knew from the day of the wedding that it's all a sham. What did she do till now??? She is making chai and putting buttons for moochchi.. She didn't even have a discussion with her mom and warn her that no matter what don't sign those papers

And moochchi?? He could barely tolerate amal before. He was always running away from her. Now he behaves as if he is genuinely conflicted between amal and mehru. Look at how ruthlessly he used to treat her before and how delicately he handles her now

And I get that Ali and Anmol can control things upto a point. And honestly Mehru revealing things to her mother will do more harm than good a) Sadia may willingly sign to save her marriage b) She may not want to stress her mom out due to her sickness and trying to keep her happy as long as possible. All that I can understand but she herself is wasting her time one-upping Amal and annoying Shanno when she should have been thinking about her next move. Mehru is way out of her depth with these people, it's not going to be the same as setting Bi Jaan, chachi and Urooj straight with her ready answers

I think saman shah will get the first shock when she confidently asks her laadla beta to divorce mehru then and there and shanno takes a U turn and run away

Mehru can only retaliate if shanno or saman does something to her and till now saman has been anything but nice to her and shanno is just running around like a headless chicken giving hot and cold vibes. Amal is the only one who was directly taunting her when they come face to face and she gives it back to him. It's now only saman has shown her real face. Even if mehru had her doubts on her what's she suppose to do till now when saman is treating her well. Mehru is not the type to attack first. I guess mehru till now thought shanno will attack directly and she knew they will try to get zain back. She thought they will attack her directly instead of going behind her back to get zain out. It also didn't look like shanno himself knew saman was going to get the sign from the mother. He got to know only after it was done. He himself didn't seems to have any plan of involving mehru's family into it. Whatever it was it was between him and mehru.

Idk with the kind of butchering I'm seeing of Shanno's character he may even be ready to marry Amal without divorcing Mehru

This Amal politics is so weird, I mean its like the writers have some 300 plot points they want to fit in 40 odd episodes. How about showing us more of Shahno and Mehru and their thought process? And from which angle does Amal look capable of anything?
