Haan I saw the clip of AK now claiming ki Runak shaadi is even more zaroori cuz Jhanak Kolkata mein bhi safe nahin hai and needs Ani se shaadi as "protection shield" for her ....ki log use maarne ka plan chhod denge if they think woh Ani ke saath settle ho rahi hai

Just to be clear, here what you're stating is that, Ani because he's so deeply in love with her, he wouldn't have wanted to create a situation like this in which he NEEDED to manipulate J into being with him...

So for him his act COULDN'T be LOVE, love would be two-sided. Love should have been all consuming.

J should have come to him on her own, happily and Arshi should have left him ON HER OWN HAPPILY, with FULL UNDERSTANDING.

Ani thinks IF his love is true it should have the power to make all the situations favourable to his LOVE without him needing to push it, that too this vehemently...

So, he has no satisfaction and feels only guilt and calls this Majboori....

Now, all that's left is for Leena to just PROVE us RuNak fans, right....

There are two facets to it and I understand the reason why Ani is saying what he is saying…. He is the “in the now” person… he will always choose the less difficult path or least confrontational path if he can help it. All his clarity of vision is only activated if J is in not with him or if she is in any trouble… that’s the only time he is the “ duniya ko Aag laga doonga” mode. This is the core trait of Ani… Core traits are the most difficult to develop in the arc of a story. But one change has happened while we were all sleeping..

Ani would have always found it difficult to articulate the words to anyone other than Jhanak… there was a time he was hesitant to speak his mind with her but from the time he has realised his love for her…he only shares his feelings with her. In an ideal circumstance, he would have been free with her and unburdened himself but the situation is such ( though poorly built in the narrative). Jhanak is his soulmate. The one thing that has rubbed off on him being brutally frank with her…like he can tell any thing to her and hear anything from her..

Unfortunately, this time it’s a bit different.. he knows she has principles that she holds dear…and he is being forced to exploit that and for the first time in his life he is feeling bad about that. @bold: Exactly....these are Ani's core traits. The moment he solves the immediate crisis related to Jhanak, he reverts back to trying to play peacemaker, consoling everyone, doing apologies to pacify .

Took me a while to resign myself to this but ab uska elaborate guilt function also doesn't surprise me anymore .....Ani is the same guy who can blast Srishti for all her crimes against Jhanak and also somehow apologize to her with folded hands for hurting her daughter Arshi .....this duality will always exist, so no point getting heartburn over his EXTRA guilt-ridden mode towards Arshi .

Cuz this same Ani will turn around and roast Arshi in a heartbeat for being hateful to Jhanak and also whenever she tries to forcefully control Ani....then he bristles sooner or later

This whole majboori angle is just so contrived that I laugh each time Ani makes that sorry face to give justifications to everyone .....also it's clear with the way dialogues are being given even to so called "good" people in the story that they all think Ani marrying Jhanak is crossing the line warna most of them were cool with Runak meeting up in a clandestine fashion on the side and Ani doing public PDA with her also .....all these so called good people think shaadi is too RESPECTABLE for Runak and Jhanak doesn't deserve the respect of shaadi while Arshi deserves all the respect of doing live in without shaadi for so long.

That is why Ani is being guilt-tripped by everyone ki SHAADI tak baat kyun le jaa rahe ho....lol and in turn Ani is giving majboori explanation cuz in his mind, the WAY he is doing this shaadi is the majboori....having to lie about it to keep Jhanak close to him. Baaki his main "majboori" for leaving Arshi is this only that he loves Jhanak so now there is no other path for him but Jhanak ....and he will keep having moments of standing up for his love and then again getting cowed down in guilt....yehi hai Ani

Why the subterfuge?

I won’t argue with you on what you think about Ani and his love for J or the lack of it.. we will keep that aside… we are seeing this from absolutely a different lens. It’s up to Leena to prove one of us right…

Coming to the Bodoma point which is why I quoted the first paragraph. I would say the same thing over and over again… If Bodoma were understanding of the bond between Ani and J when apparently Ani and Arshi were involved.. what’s holding them back once Ani has made claims to separate from Arshi (whether he does or not comes later) If Ani could be encouraged to take J’s claims for baby, what’s the hesitation if they have a “divorce”? After HA, Bodoma was seen giving gyaan on this to J… what changed between then and now? Leena’s stupid mind?

Rekha - I know theoretically what Leena is trying to see. Set up worst case scenario, so when Runak happens - its a act of destiny or whatever, but her whole process of worst case scenario has ruined Ani for me. Not for you? Where did I ever say Ani loves Arshi? Ani loves Jhanak but he is unable to categorically pick her over Arshi. Leena's Ani is a flip flopper, how can you not see it? He has to make a choice, he chooses one and the moment he has the one he chose, he regrets and bemoans losing the other. He tells J he loves her, he will commit suicide if she leaves, lies to her abt his health, and says if she does not marry him and then thinks asking Arshi to leave is his majboori and he has no other option. Can you help me understand Ani's POV if he is not a flipper? If its guilt, then he is person who lies to himself to justify his deedd. Thats what the story is telling me again and again.

Leena in theory wants to show us a Runak love story, by them fighting against all odds - but in the process of showing the odds, Runak as lost their charm.

Bodoma - I gave a POV based on how I understood her, and also as it was exactly how I would advise my child. I would never ever in real life advise any girl to marry a man like Ani. His sense of right and wrong is so against the norms of the world and sometimes irrational. My point was less about the consistency of her stance and more abt how right I find her current stance, based on Ani's characteristics (distrust, flip flop, BH toxic family)
