| Producer Shobhana Desai, who has produced hit shows like Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka Shagun and Thodi Khushi Thoda Gam, has come up with yet another show titled Hamari Devrani. The soap will replace Bhabhi in an afternoon time slot on Star Plus. Hamari Devrani is the saga of Ahmedabad-based Nanavati family. It strongly establishes the sweet yet, at times, sour relationship between the five elder bahu's of the family and their youngest devrani. Shobhana says, "Hamari Devrani is a show with which audience will connect instantly as the typical Gujarati family backdrop always appeals to people. I have selected all the actors after thorough screening. I am in the process of creating history with Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka. I am adding six new women characters in the show and I am sure they will become stars." The story unveils the various facets of relationships in a family. The show highlights the criticalities of various relations within the family like devrani-jethani, relations with in-laws and above all, the relationship between husband and wife. The show is an emotional story about the protagonist Bhakti (played by Krishna), who is a simple, small town girl. |
