@bold I feel the makers have completely changed the narrative. They're emphasizing Arshi's sudden negativity leading him to Jhanak, which is wrong. He fell for his wife and repeatedly said how their forced marriage became a strong value in his life. Arshi se koi lena dena nhi tha is baat ka. Instead, they could have at least shown how Ani mistook Arshi's likeness for love and, most importantly, how he fell for Jhanak because of her caring and loving nature, along with her beautiful personality not because Arshi changed negatively.

They've been changing this narrative since a while now ever since HA track. Jhanak herself was the first one to say to Arshi in the hospital that Sirji aur main isliye paas aaye kyunki you were too obsessed with hating me. And since then Ani se kayi baar yeh bulvaya hai ki Arshi agar achhi hoti toh Ani kabhi Jhanak ki taraf kheencha nahin chala jaata....everyone is conveniently whitewashing the part that Runak ki Kashmir shaadi played in bonding them to each other.

Only audience has noticed that Ani was attracted to Jhanak from the time he first saw her in Kashmir and once they got married, he became hers subconsciously even if it took him a long time to realize it consciously.

Choton is the only one who has mentioned a few times ki Ani ko kabhi Arshi se pyar nahin tha....but makers deliberately keep that also a vague statement to again keep propping up the narrative that supposedly Anishi mein bahut pyar tha until Jhanak beech mein aa gayi.....by now it's not surprising that Leena will do anything to prop up her laadli

They are too scared to show that Ani never loved Arshi and Jhanak is the only one he's loved like this with all his heart and soul....Arshi ke saath kabhi iska 1% bhi nahin feel kiya.

Before signing the annulment papers, both Ani and Jhanak wanted the other to take action to stop the annulment, and Jhanak felt no guilt for Arshi, even during the Kashmir night as she wholeheartedly accepted him that time.

I really wish, the writers were different for this show.

Aaj Runak have clarity about the fact that they love each other atleast.....even if baaki saara narrative keeps changing every day about whether Ani only stopped loving Arshi cuz she changed to mean/nasty person or whether Ani currently loves both or whether Ani can easily go back to loving Arshi if Jhanak leaves him....lol

Aage I won't be surprised if they show Runak suddenly saying ki shayad hum ek dusre se pyar karte hi nahin, shayad sab bhram tha.....pyar ki definition conveniently keeps changing as per Leena's whims and what she needs to force her laadli into the narrative as supposed "love interest" of Ani....lol

Sadly, it hurts as I've been watching this show since promo 1. Until episode 250, RuNak's beautiful wedding was a highlight and a significant reason for their falling harder for each other 💔

Perhaps not all love is the same and exists on a spectrum, starting from something superficial to more profound. With Arshi, perhaps Ani's love was very superficial and never progressed to something deeper and more meaningful?

Ani fell in love with Jhanak partly because of their shared values, that remained steadfast despite many challenges. It’s easy to claim being in love with someone, but it's depth and sincerity can only be revealed when tested by time. He may have believed Arshi shared his values too, but time revealed their differences, leading him to fall out of love with her.

@bold: Exactly....the real test of any claims of love comes in trying times...and Runak have passed that test each time in crisis mode while Arshi has always abandoned Ani to his problems - most notably during his heart attack. Still the makers are too chickenshit to point out this contrast in the story and we are relentlessly being gaslighted with claims of how Ani truly loved Arshi

I for one am not holding my breath for any such realization coming at some point where Ani grows enough brains to realize he never loved Arshi and what he shared with her was too superficial to be called love - especially in contrast to the depth of emotion he feels for Jhanak. Makers won't allow any such realization which undermines their laadli Didi

Baaki word to what you said about love, responsibility, weakness, sympathy, guilt all being used interchangeably in this show.....Leena is an expert in making terms appear meaningless
