When you have deep hatred for someone, yes. Mother's are humans too and hatred is a very strong emotion. Ruhi's hatred for Abhira and her mother and the wounds that never healed caused her to develop this deep and strong hatred for her and for those who are connected with her.

What happens to the ever traumatic Ruhi didi’s hatred when she sees Abhir? If I watched the same serial they both belong to the same mother who is responsible for her misery.

It just doesn’t add up for me.

That is different Abhira is in same house as another bahu ..Many homes when when more than one DIL there both will compete , esp household like Poddars .Her Poppy made Tuhi and Abhir friends as 6yrs old..They spent time together as kids as best friends . When negative characters hate positive character it just happens , no need any reasons
