This baby swap track needs to conclude soon. I’ve noticed a surge in social media comments and posts gaining attention for this storyline, many glorifying Ruhi as a victim for losing her baby and demanding justice for her—often from people who haven’t even followed the show regularly. Some of them never engaged with these platforms before and were even critical of others for creating their own discussions, yet now they’re writing lengthy posts praising Ruhi and labeling everyone else as heartless for “snatching” the baby.
While I’m not dismissing Ruhi’s pain, let’s be real—do these people even watch the show consistently enough to understand the full context? Most are forming opinions based on snippets and cut-out reels circulating online, which paint Ruhi as a saintly, mahaan character without acknowledging her complete arc. I’m not saying Ruhi doesn’t deserve sympathy or respect, but rooting for her without understanding her journey feels shortsighted.
This isn’t directed at genuine Ruhi fans, but rather at those who suddenly jump into the conversation without knowing the show’s history. If tomorrow the makers decide to move on from this track and minimize Ruhi’s role, these same people will likely abandon the show, declaring it terrible and flooding the platforms with comments like “stop posting about this show” or “go create your own subs.” Let’s keep the focus balanced and rooted in the show’s narrative as a whole.
Firstly, thanks for tagging me. I am not a regular viewer but do know about Rooh-i's arc - which is practically no arc. From the start, there hasn't been anything appealing about her from the get-go. Instead, Goenkas went bankrupt, she got a bad therapist, fell in love with an emotional clown, and got married to another clown of the same family. Since then, what has changed about her?
First, she was constantly hovering over Armaan, now she will constantly hover over her baby. Armaan was never hers to begin with, cause lets face it, he doesn't even belong to himself, what will he love her. But, now the baby is legitimately hers, and she will not let go of it. She has lost out on people who could have made a difference in her life by their presence. Instead, they jumped on the "palla-jhaado" wagon and scooted off. She has had to let go of whatever she has genuinely wanted rather unwillingly. This child is her only hope, and she won't let go. This is the neutral standpoint, and it ends right here.
Rooh-i's personality as a whole is so pathetic; her behavior is vile, and for the dumpsters that all that trauma, pain, and sadness takes a backfoot that no amount of sympathy can be generated for her.
Coming to Abhira - is the other pathetic character of the show who sadly is the lead but will be screwed for the sake of drama. She has no brains, she has no sensibility, duniyadaari ka door door tak koi sense nahi hai, and its understood, cause uski maa bhi kahaan janti thi, mauka mila nahi, ki chapat ho jati thi - family jaaye chulhe me papad sekhne.
