This is a load of bull. Rama Naidu and ANr were best friends and wanted to cement that alliance with their kids. Both Lakshmi and Nagarjuna were not interested in films and had studied abroad together and got married.
Once Nagarjuna came into films he was a flop and almost wanted to quit. Then Shiva happened and he got fame and with that glamour and he started multiple affairs. Amala was a half foreigner and he had no plans to marry her. He expected his wife to be okay with him playing around as they had a kid. She put her foot down moved out and went for a divorce which was unheard at that time because that was a big taboo in the industry. She was protected because of her father family for sure and at that time even ANR was against the split and his son. Nagarjuna became angry and married Amala and until Akhil the family did not accept her. The film industry moved to Hyderabad and Lakshmi stayed back in Chennai and Chay was brought up in Chennai with his mother and mother side of the family.
In fact ANR gave quite a bit of inheritance to Chay and almost nothing to Akhil. Akhil has only Nagarjuna property .So did Rama Naidu give a big inheritance to Chay. Lakshmi married the TVS guy during Chay teenage year and he got a share of that also. Why do you think he is hot property. Of all the grandchildren Chay has the biggest inheritance.
Nagarjuna still had multiple affairs and Amala was okay with it. The Dagubatti and Akinneni reconciled for Chay land were quite cordial towards each other. They even became very friendly except for Nag and Lakshmi. In fact after the divorce it was Nag who publicly acknowledged his ex wife for the first time on Chay and Sobhita engagement where they were actually in the same photograph which never happened before. Even with Chay and Sam wedding they always posed separately. He would always refer to Chay as Rama Naidu grandson and never about his ex wife.
It was only after the divorce of Chay that his parents though lead separate lives have been looking cordial in public.
If Lakshmi was from any other family Nagarjuna could have done a smear campaign against her and though he tried, she was protected by the family and that she had made her life in Chennai
