I’m not sure what perspective you’re coming from, but Abhira only managed to begin letting go of the trauma of her mother’s death after the first anniversary. She carried that pain with her far longer than anyone might realize.

The key difference is that Abhira never projected her pain onto anyone else. Despite her immense grief, she never blamed Armaan for her mother’s death, even though Akshara died protecting him. This speaks volumes about her character and emotional strength, showing her ability to process her trauma without resorting to misplaced blame.
