However I also think I wonder if it going down also means any chance of any salvaging is also lost

I remembered my EDKV S1 experience

Super storytelling, fab characterisation, the pathway was all great…it was a fixed series show just that a Googly of how many episodes wasn’t fixed 😂😂… I don’t know the trp angle in this but suddenly they were out of bank on episodes and actress was hospitalised etc and boom the show just wrapped up so lamely.

See...trp is important because it ensures revenue stream for the channel...if a viewer does not change channel when ads are played, it adds to trp...actually many do not know how it is calculated...even if a viewer watches entire episode on tv but changes the channel during ads, then it will reflect in reduction of trp..if trp consistently falls below a certain amount, mostly in comparison to the shows run in the same slot in rival channels, channel decides to pull off the plug..

...in this case, the rival channels' shows are nowhere near Jhanak in terms of trp...so it is not yet the time to go happy...still the show is doing good by a huge margin compared to it's rivals..

Yep. It's not going anywhere. There's no competition and it's a slot leader....giving them trps even with 40 minutes crap. No other show at this time is giving any competition to them so our happiness is Short lived . Didi ki Tarah show bhi dheet hai aasani se nahi jayega .

The opaqueness of TRP I just don’t understand and I don’t believe it to be the only marker of decision making for serials to stay on air

Sponsors wouldn’t only track trp

There would be other parameters and sometimes I feel the engagement of SM may also be accounting for something

In show biz there is nothing like good and bad publicity 😂😂
