I think Mehru was about to fall for him before marriage. She liked him a lot, and confessed that he made a place in her heart. But he destroyed her love and respect for him. Whatever he says or does in future, she won't believe. She may start playing games, and acting like she is fooled by him again only to turn him against his mom, or to break his heart later.

I think she just considered him a good person and was attracted to him but definitely didn't like him a lot. That's the reason why she could bounce back quickly from his betrayal and give it back to him.
If her mother stood by her and didn't wanted her to marry, I doubt she would have agreed to marry shanno on her own. Even now she is adamant on staying in the marriage just because she promised her mother that she will try her best to keep the relationship going and not because she wants to make shanno into a good person.

So by fixing him, she will destroy his arrogance, and shake his family's peace and gives justice to her brother.

But it's not her job to fix him and I hope it doesn't go down that road... because he was this bad since day 1. And if Mehru can leave her childhood friend/fiance over doubting her character I doubt she'll want to fix a husband who's blackmailed her on the first day of marriage. Also, Islam allows a woman to take khula also...so I hope she chooses that option.

I think she hasn't decided on what she wants to do with her marriage yet. She just stayed to show Shanno that she won't be dominated or intimidated by him. Also getting divorced that very night and turning up at the house would've killed her mother. But in the long term, I don't see her wanting to make a success of this marriage with a man like Shahnawaz. Right now, she's still processing things.

Since it's a drama she is obviously gonna babysit him and teach him like a toddler on how to be a good person but in real life it's not a woman's job to fix a fully grown adult.

I hope so to. And I think she wants to leave that relationship under her own conditions and when she wants.

There's a difference between breaking an engagement and breaking a marriage. And Mehru knows well what will be the result of ending her marriage that soon. Maybe in future after taking revenge from this family she'll take khula if Shahnawaz doesn't redeem himself and earns her trust by changing completely, which will be difficult to convince her that he really means it this time.
