He’s basically saying he’s taking a break “until time deems right.” That could mean just a couple of years and that’s not unusual for actors. I just don’t know why he felt the need to make an official announcement? Maybe he’s taking a break from media as well and this is his way of avoiding any future rumors or speculations.

Wanting to spend time with your family is always a good thing, and if you can afford to maximize that time then more power to you. I just hope he and his talent come back to the art sooner than later.
