If shows run because of chemistry then nauman and hareem should have been the best and biggest pair of ptv currently as their show is getting blockbuster ratings.

Seher and usman should have been the most loved pair as their show is doing good both on ratings and yt but we don't see that happening

See even we agree that the pace has been very slow, too much importance is given to frivolous things plus leads have absolutely no scenes together. Like how do you make your audience hook or root to the show when there's absolutely no interaction between the leads?

If the outdated story is getting a 7 trp at aganist a gaint trp gainer like bismil, I don't think it'd be much difficult for them to get a double digit rating at a non competitive Sunday slot.

Also imagine if Maya and Wahaj were doing a masala romantic love story where they went from enemies to lovers toh the ratings and views would have been massive. The likes of Iqtidar are doing great these days coz such masala love stories have a wide audience.

See be it chemistry or a solo actor, none can garner audience. The way the two characters are written matter a lot. Enemies to lovers tropes or friends to lovers etc etc with masala romantic scenes between the leads get a lot of attention and audience loves such entertaining stuff apart from other content of course.

Solely the chemistry or an actor can't make the show a hit as per me

I dont agree. SMD was a big budget show and Geo's signature project this year. Kadwani wouldn't have put so much money in it if it was not commercial .

Oh they would have accessed it. They have such sizzling chemistry and the sensual tension between them is insane🤌. Their phone ad bts reel was the hottest thing I have had ever seen in ptv🥵

It's really hurts to see them wasting their potential in sucha show where they have absolutely no scenes together🥺

It doesn't have a massive commercial appeal tbh. Maybe Kadwani thought otherwise but as a producer he must be aware of the fact that audience today needs pace especially if you are showing them a love story. A slow paced show with barely any scenes of the leads together will not connect with the audience who were hoping to see the love story even if it was one sided. Like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was about one sided love story and yet the entire movie was about the two main characters.

You either present a massy, fiesty kind of a love story which is fast paced or some other genre content all together. Today audience needs masala when it comes to romance or at least love stories where the leads have ample scenes.

Only 14 episodes have aired so far. So, no idea what is going to happen in the coming episodes.

If Maya and Wahaj did a masala love story with ample scenes together and yet the show failed then I would have certainly agreed that the two didn't click. But here toh they barely are getting any scenes together and yet many are waiting for Bilal and Sadaf to marry so that their story starts. No clue if that would happen anytime soon 😂

Smd had all the ingredients to gain views and trps.The show is not masala type i agree. But iy has all the commercial elements. A rich loner businessman, poor fl, manipulative 2nd leads, sick brother, great budget and ofcourse a good cast and crew. I don't know something is lacking in smd. Trust me bismil is such a mediocre and poor drama. It gaining such trp beating smd is ridiculous and surprising

A slow paced story where the leads have barely met so far certainly lacks the commercial element?In the times when people are loving fast paced masala lovestories, SMD is offering a slow paced story where leads barely have scenes together. The show definitely has potential I feel. If somehow the focus shifts to Bilal and Sadaf and their relationship then the show will fair much better but unfortunately there is an overfocus on side characters like Humsha and Ammar.

See I never expected SMD to get 15 or 17 trps but 5-7 s is too low. Some of the most horrible shows with actors past their prime are getting more trps than SMD
