Didn't they show RANBIR overheard how their older sister and mom gave the girl a hard time just talking to him? Can't he connect the dots to see how the girl is overshadowed and made to think she is dumb with an intelligent old sister? Forget adoption, etc.; he needs to understand how the household is if he genuinely loves her.

TRP is indeed needed, but the simple story that unfolds a couple understanding each other and developing their relationship while fixing others around them is incredible.

In the real world, we do get men like this; it is high time those types are shown so the next generations learn. The same applies to women, too.
