Don't think the sister's education was forgotten. Rather, the behaviour of chacha and chachi meant that sister's education would be cut and she would be married off -- that was what they kept implying. They kept saying it was time that both girls get married. Since Sadia does not have her own house, she does not have the freedom to put her foot down and push back that she is the one who will decide when and where her daughters will get married.

As Mehru rejected Rafay herself, her voice is now further diminished and even when she speaks up, they were dismissing her. So it would have been difficult to live under the same roof when there is so much pressure to get married.

Part of why Sadia agrees to the match with Shaw is that it will give breathing room for the younger sister to lead her own life and study. She will no longer have that pressure to get married and leave the house as Shaw is a powerful son-in-law. Given the way Urooj's parents act, won't be surprised if we see a track later where Sadia and the younger sister end up moving in to Shaw mansion because they are kicked out...

They cannot be kicked out because the house is ancestral and Sadia and her children have equal rights over it and chacha don't have a male hier to take over it. Mehru will drag them to court if chacha and chachi tried to do anything.

This is why mehru keep saying sadia don't have to stay oppressed as they have equal rights over everything. Sadia could have simply told them to f off and they wouldn't be able to do anything but she just keeps quite and decided to get mehru married to ando mein kanahraja.

Nothing would have happened if she kept her foot down and said she won't let her educated and capable daughter be married to the third class proposals brought by chacha.
