AR Rahman’s wife Saira Banu announces separation

AR Rahman, the renowned Oscar-winning musician, and his wife Saira Bano have decided to part ways after 29 years of marriage. In a public statement released by both their lawyers, the couple confirmed their decision to divorce.

“After many years of marriage, Mrs Saira has made the difficult decision to separate from her husband Mr. AR Rahman. This decision comes after significant emotional strain in their relationship. Despite their deep love for each other, the couple has found that the tensions and difficulties have created an insurmountable gap between them, one that neither party feels able to bridge at this time. Mrs Saira emphasised that she has taken this decision out of pain and agony. This is quite shocking. First Jayam Ravi now this. From the few public interviews I have seen of them they both seem to be laid back and kept to themselves. Wonder what happened all of a sudden.

not surprised at all. on many occasions i saw a distance between these twoif i am not mistaken rehman mostly travelled alone, i could smell something brewing. i could be wrong tho.

Edit: I just read Ms.Saira’s statement and empathize with her and also ARR. We have yet another example to prove that just Love, no matter how deep, is not enough to be together.

Not in a million years I thought this will happenstay single and live your life and focus on your career or your passion. Really sad.
