No single actor is solely responsible for the success or failure of a show. A series doesnât gain popularity based on just one actorâwhether itâs Murtasim or Meerabâitâs the chemistry between the leads that resonates with audiences. Tere Bin, despite its weak storyline, became a hit primarily because of the undeniable chemistry between Wahaj and Yumna. Both actors, however, starred in DNUTN, a lesser-known project that didnât gain much traction until Tere Bin took off. This shows that a showâs success is a collective effort, combining acting, direction, writing, and the platform itâs aired on. If a single actor were the key to pulling in an audience, Wahaj would have had similar success with projects like 22 Qadam or SMD, but that wasnât the case. Similarly, while Yumna has had shows like Bakhtawar, Parizaad, and the Geo drama (whose name I donât recall) that garnered good ratings, she also starred in Gentleman and Ishq-e-Laa, which faced poor ratings. This proves that itâs never just about one actor. The success or failure of a show depends on the synergy of the entire cast, the storyline, direction, and the channel's supportânot just one actorâs star power.
