Hey Guys!! Been a long time since I got back to writing on RuNak, but the hug scene yesterday was so good that I couldn't resist. This is my effort to capture the myriads of emotions Ani would have felt in that single moment he discovered Jhanak was alive and that she was Nutan. A very short one, but a heartfelt one.

Dedicated to all the people who love and support Ani.... especially my guruji Vidya Garu... Finally wrote on for ya! smiley27

This piece is best read while listening to this Farhan Saeed song - perfectly captures the theme of what I was going for here...

Ji Jaun Farhan Saeed 2016

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Aur wo Nutan nahi…. JHANAK HAI!!!! Aur wo humari maujudagi mein hai….”

Vinayak’s statement resounded through the silence. A silence that stretched into eternity. But none of that mattered to Aniruddh. None. His mind zeroed in on one thing, the words he had just heard…. unfathomable ones.

Nutan nahi…. Jhanak hai. Nutan nahi…. Jhanak hai. Nutannahi…. Jhanak hai. Nutan nahi…. Jhanak hai. Nutan…. Jhanak hai. Nutan…. Jhanakhai.

Jhanak hai.

Jhanak hai.

Jhanak……. hai.

Jhanak.

The words replayed in a loop in his mind, rendering him unaware of his surroundings, with only a white noise audible. His mouth opened and closed involuntarily, vision racing to capture her once more in his memories. And so, he did, turning reflexively towards her, eyes red and brimming; a thousand questions for her, ones he was unable to voice. In their stead, only her name came out.

“Jhanak….”

He uttered softly, a plea, a prayer, hoping against hope that what he was experiencing through his senses was absolute reality, not an elusive mirage. His fingers traced the familiar contour, basking in the warmth of her skin, finally clasping her hands gently. His eyes sought out hers, yearning for recognition and love he had lacked for so long.

“Jhanak….”

He chanted her name in a broken tone, beckoning her to answer his call. All he met in return was silence, a non-affirmative nod. Frustration crept in at her reluctance; his hands automatically cupped her cheeks, thumbs brushing her soft skin, his eyes on hers. He enjoyed the feeling of her, in whatever shape or form: She was his addiction and compulsion.

To his dismay, it didn’t provide the comfort he sought. Instead, a torrent of emotions slammed him all at once: the surprise at Jhanak’s return, the happiness that this possibility was real, the dread that it might not be true, the anger at her duplicity and hesitance, sorrow that things had come to this point, the scorn he felt for himself for failing her once again, and above all, a bottomless abhorrence at his unfortunate fate.

Kyun?

Mujhe sach nahi bataya…. Kyun?

Mujhe aise behadd daard diya…. Kyun?

Mujhpe barosa nahi kiya…. Kyun?

Mujhe akele chod diya…. Kyun?

Meri barosa thod diya…. Kyun?

Mujhe Nutan banke uljhan dilaya…. Kyun?

Mujhe aisa tadpaya…. Kyun?

Mujhe dekh kar bhi undekha kar diya…. Kyun?

Kyun Jhanak…. Kyun???

Jawab do na…. Kyun???

The more his eyes probed with these unspoken questions, the more her eyes avoided the answers with aversion.

Sach mein…. Tum bohot bereham ho.

His eyes trembled slightly, tears flowing freely down his face, a bitter smile gracing his sorrowful expression. He pulled her into a tight embrace instead, a shield for his emotional nudity.

Teekhai….mujhe ye berehmi bhi manzoor hai Jhanak; Mujhetumhari sabkuch manzoor hai….

Iss manzoori se mili sukoon bhi…. mujhe manzoor hai.

Iss sukon bhi manzoor hai.

Bas tum thodi der aur thehr jaa….

In this fleeting moment, all he craved was the profound solace he discovered in her embrace to calm his restless soul. A solace that silenced every other emotion within him.

Ji jaun ye pal….

Ji jaun….

Beautiful, absolutely how Ani should feel

I wanted him to question her in the episode, instead he has inferred that J embraced this mukhota to unveil her parents' truth, but Ani still deserved to question her !

He was rendered lifeless by her death, it's about time she realises and takes accountability of the damage that her short-sightedness has caused!

Beautiful writing Anusha smiley32. That few minutes of strong emotion of Anirudh explained so well by you.

All his inner turmoil, questions, and passion for Jhanak brought in so well.

Lovely read.

Beautiful... beautiful...

You know I was disappointed that after such a big revelation instead of focusing on only Anirudh and his emotions...they showed such ott drama by side characters..

But your take on the complexities of Aniruddha 's emotions, capturing the essence of love, loss, and the transient nature of his happiness...is lovely to read ..

Seeing Jhanak in front of him alive ..it must have made him feel as if inside him there is still life remaining...his heart that suddenly started beating fast only to make him realise that he is still alive...so many emotions he was going through... overwhelmed not being able to decide wheather to jump in joy, or cry out loud...he just ended up hugging her....

You brought his emotions beautifully....it is exactly what he should be feeling...

Lovely 🤩 🤩 🤩

I know na. It's like his soul, which was suffering from her thirst, suddenly felt fulfilled. There was so much emotions portrayed by Krushal that I feel you can write so much for that one minute.
