Regarding Ruhi doesn't want to get better, who doesn't want to get better man, I don't think anyone would be happy to get panic attacks, anxiety attacks, mood swings, etc.

Now obviously we aren't shown what happens during generation leap. But from the looks of it Goenka tried the approach of hiding the problem till it goes on its own regarding Ruhi issue . And it backfired on them badly.

Rahi baat Rohit ki that he gave up the child, I literally wrote in the main post that Rohit never had the right to give up his child ( sabse pyara gudda) to begin with. And let's even think that Armaan was a bit emotional at that time and couldn't think clearly but when Ruhi is out of coma he still not telling the truth.

You can play the devil card and say that majboor Armaan isn't able to help but in my opinion both brothers are liable to the same degree.
