What??? A sequel to the 1983 Masoom??? (= adaptation of Eric Segal's novel Man, Woman, Child...)

I was excited thinking Urmila and Juggal Hansraj as grown-ups but this seem completely different except parents may be grandparents now.

Kaveri is Shekhar's daughter so he is introducing her.

How will a sequel to that story work? The stepmother accepted the kid and they all lived happily ever after. Unless this is about different characters and Naseeruddin Shah and Shabanah Azimi are indirectly connected as a support system.

Anyway, I hope this gets made just to see Shekhar Kapur making a film.

I hope you're right...When Shekhar Kapur will do a movie at 79, he could well choose another story, another title, but still the same actors...and not alluding at Masoom

Never take off is still okay but he is infamous for losing interest in the ongoing projects and abandoning them mid shooting. Roop ki Rani , Joshilayy etc. 😅
