I love deepika ..I really feel like she can act. Do you remember the scene in which srk carried deepika up the staircase in chennai express? I feel like that is reverse symbol..olgy... what we are really seeing is deepika carrying srk in all her movies, and srk basking in the success garnered from the beautiful and talented deepika.

Smitten cried and cried when deepika died in the fire scene in oso.....stop crying smitten..it's just a movie ...shanti smitten shanti ... deepika is still alive ...and has since carried srk through many more of her successful movies ...

Compared to older gens of female actors like Shabana and Smita Patil none of the current lot actors come even near to them, no ... not even Alia. The kind of range those actress had none of the current actress have it.

Be it Deepika, Kirti or Kiara they are just an average actors. Alia fares bit better among all in current generation of actresses.

From Last Gen I think Juhi and Tabu are the standouts with some kind of convincing acting. Also in 2000s Priyanka, Kareena and Rani had some good range to adapt themselves to the character and got some good movies to prove their talent but it was limited.

From 80s-90s Manisha, Madhuri, Sridevi and Meenakshi were some of the actress who could show their acting skills whenever they got chance.

In 50s-70s Waheeda Ji, Vyajantimala, Nargis, Nutan and Meena Kumari were some of the finest actresses who became stars not just because of their beauty but becoz of their sheer acting talent.

She’s not the best but she’s certainly not the worst. She may not have had any unforgettable performances (though that can be rather subjective) she has been in some unforgettable movies, the SLB movies, Piku, CE, and also has been in some record breaking blockbusters like Pathan and Jawan.

She’s still very in demand and not going anywhere in the foreseeable future.
