This track in Gen 2 executed very well. Because Karthik naira were not desperate for baby. For the first 2 years of their marriage, they didn't want kids as they are young. Whole track focused on Karthik pampering and taking care of naira during pregnancy. In gen 4 that was completely sidelined except for 2-3 scenes. Gen 2 makers hinted since beginning that baby won't survive. Even fans too didn't want baby track, I think they even trended against baby track . So viewers kind of anticipated the outcome.

For 6-7 episodes naira was unconscious. Whole week episodes centred around Kartik where he faced biggest conflict as brother and husband. During that episode, whole twitter filled with praising tweets by neutrals for mohsin.

They gave sad ost for kaira baby who was dead. Kartik getting heartbroken over the baby. When jr akshara was born, they showed this dead baby flashbacks with happy ost.

Yes aur yaha in gen 4 makers ne pura sign dekhaya the ki baby aayega like Baal gopal kahi baar abhira k pas aaya tha. Matarani ki blessings everything.

Funnily if you see, all the signs were Ruhi's baal gopal coming to Abhira - which clearly shows that Abhira will take care of Ruhi's kid in her place coz Ruhi is careless
