Naa,,woh folklore aisa hai ki this city was named after his name as lakshmanpuri...he was not ruler of that city but the name of city was given after his name which over a period of time came to be known as lakhanpuri and now Lucknow....yeh suni hai folklore maine so....even there is high ground on banks of gomti river ,,called lakshman teela,,some legends say lakshman ji stayed there probably for some period of time...
