I think there are definitely well meaning people that are not seeing how she jumped to that decision. I get it and her reasoning makes sense to me, but if there is a fair number of people with same opinion then maybe it would have been better to explain things in more detail.

That being said, I noticed that most comments on YouTube are positive so that either means that the general public is ok with the explanation or Wahaj’s fan base (who may be just blindly appreciating) is a lot larger than I thought.

It is about narrative

Reviewers pick up things from Twitter/Instagram, when they are in the business for views, they'll obviously would want to be in line with views of the audience.

A drama was on air recently and the actor spoke like he was drunk, he couldn't even put enough efforts to open his mouth to deliver dialogs but people kept praising him everywhere so did reviewers

You'll see people trying to prove KRQ was a feminist when he wrote drama featuring their favorite and is sexist during SMD

Audience doesn't care about such issues, like in one drama a victim of years of domestic violence sat crying for her husband, you wouldn't see any outrage on such portrayal

That group had tried the same trick against ZPKB during the scene where Meenu openly spoke about kids to the man who came to see her, many reviewers picked that up too but Sajal has a huge fan base, they handled any negativity which came towards the drama efficiently and the drama itself was masterpiece in true sense so that helped too

These things don't work for Wahaj because he doesn't have his own fans, he has an audience and that audience watches his dramas, but they are not fans. Sadly, what he has gathered is a huge following of a certain section who do nothing but negativity against his every project

Even now, Maya and chhota kaddu are being praised for SMD so they lose nothing, only Wahaj gets dragged but he is responsible too for continously feeding the same people with attention, they never once think about him

He needs a social media manager, who'd look into these things, he is not giving interviews which means he won't be fake praised for sake of interviews. One actress sends legal notices to reviewers who criticize her performance

There are ways to maintain the narrative of "Good actor" even after delivering same expressions in all dramas, Wahaj is extremely stupid to not learn anything from Mein

Worst of all, he abandoned his superhit drama instead of accepting the views and TRPs audience gave him, he spends a lot of time on Instagram and is surrounded by an audience which does nothing but negativity against him

Aamna ke pass bhi woh thank you wahaj bhai for cameo in my show wala meme poch gayasmiley39

Surprisingly, she praised maya and shahvir and yeah they acted really good in their scene. They praised usama too and said his performance was sincere. Also liked hira trying new role and are interested in her character. Like Bilal's reaction to sadaf too.

But but they aren't liking the treatment to the storyline and feel it's very old schooled and boring, archaic. The performance and characters are really good, only thing that's pulling down the show is haseebs bakwaas direction.

On paper this show is a sureshot trp topper, rich casanova male lead, pretty middle class female lead, lots of love triangle thrown in, there's love, drama, jealousy, angst and heartbreak. Wahaj might have thought it's a good show but many times what's on paper doesn't get translated onscreen. And here haseeb is to be blamed for that.

The teasers showed as if it's a modern lovestory, but sadly the actual episodes are focused on fillers scenes and tracks.

Aamna understood the scene and when she pointed it out to Hassan, he said it is good on paper but execution was poor which I agree because there are ways too many seconds between dialogs, the reason why mass movies work in theater is because audience doesn't have the time to think, but here you have enough time to think about each dialog which is a drawback

Agree about archaic portrayal too, Bilal is so wattpad coded, he needed a wattpad writer not this man who writes for himself and not for characters

Truthfully, I feel it’s a bit slow to watch live but let’s see.

I saw Nutella say they send feedback to technical team.

Please Nutella do tell the team that the long pauses, camera lingering on faces, the slo-mo in scenes of Sadaf and her family, unnecessary scenes which just repeat voiceover of dialogues we heard 5 seconds go, repetitive scenes, just gotta go. They are ruining the viewing experience. None of these flourishes add to the scenes or add depth. They are also easily fixable in post.

Please let them know that TRPs and views are suffering because of this. I heard multiple Wahaj fans say they were watching live but had to switch channels because of how slow it was or stopped watching live. First time in history of watching ptv, I have watched something at 1.25x-1.5x speed. If hardcore fans are feeling the pain, how can they expect neutrals to put up with it. I even know several people in my family and friends (neutrals), who stopped watching SMD because of how needlessly stretched out so many scenes are.

Does the technical team not watch the final product. I was expecting long KRQ dialogues and scenes, but do they not see how their editorial affects have exacerbated the problem by double.

Agreed I think it is the pacing that is getting in the way. So many shows have toxic and/or illogical content but they move so fast past it onto something else, that you don’t have much time to dwell on it. That something else becomes the focus but here the pace is slow and the story doesn’t move onto something else. There is too much time in between dialogue that gives the audience a lot of time to think.

For me it’s fine and I’m with filling in the blanks when I need to. I actually prefer when things aren’t spelled out and I can interpret it a bit but I realize not everyone is like that. I honestly still think there was enough to the story to make sense of things but maybe they should have explained things further. And the YouTube viewers seem fine too so I don’t know, maybe they’re speeding it up to watch

For me it mostly just the pace that’s an issue because it’s slowing down on scenes that I’m not invested in. Give me more Wahaj and pick up the pace and I’m fine.

The pacing was fine when Namdaar died. I mean his whole death sequence was rushed and Bilal Abdullah came back in the same episode. I still feel it's Kadwani who had told Haseeb to stretch the show to 30+ episodes. KRQ's shows don't need more than 20 episodes.

Honestly I don’t know how he doesn’t let the negativity get to him sometimes. He does get some love too so I’m sure he concentrates on that. I’m unaware of ZPKB drama or the other actors you are referring too so I can’t really speak to that.

Twitter is such a negative space and it isn’t about constructive criticism anymore so I hope he stays away.

If he does have a neutral audience that enjoys his work, I say that’s better than having a large dedicated fan base. I can’t figure out if the views are just from people liking the show or from his fans. It might be a combination of both. Call me crazy but I think it’s an enjoyable watch and I’m invested

True, I was shocked that Bilal returned that episode. I think it was just a few things that I found to be stretched out.

I still feel there is so much left to happen and if it’s only 30 odd episodes, they need to pick up the pace to squeeze it all in.

TB has been both a blessing and curse for him. Before it, no one hated him cos no one knew him. With fame, you earn both fans and haters. Those who called him underrated are the first ones to pull him down now.

A leap will surely happen. The show can be divided into two parts basically, before and post leap.
