The incidents with the maid and PC, to me, belong to what I would call 'thoughtless actions' because of lack of proper education...like his humour comes across as offending but I'm sure it's just speaking his mind...and his mind was subjected to a messed-up education by his parents. What do we know how his parents (and other adults in his family) behaved towards each other and to others in words and actions...

Why not just try to focus on Ranbir's positive traits?
