Malayali viewers and all others too who have seen it RAVE about it and say no remake of any other language comes close to it,be it direction or acting or dance or sound track(though many find Bhool bhulaiya 1 decent,Priyadarshan who directed BB1 was also one of the directors of unit 2 of the malayali movie and unlike the Tamil remake which added supernatural angle to it,Priyadarshan stuck to only psychological thrill with BB1)

From the clips and what I have read about the movie,it does seem really nuanced( the actors too) or that much attention was given to details.

Shobhana, the leading actress was 23 then and had won a national award for it,her ami je tomar version clearly is the most superior(she is a trained bharatnatyam dancer) and I read she was the one who had choreographed it.

But blind adulation isn't good too and one wonders if after all these years the potrayal of split personality disorder holds credibility,or if other things could have been added or removed to improve its depiction.
