Came across some clips of the ITV drama Katha Ankahee last year and people have commented that it is adapted from a Turkish drama. So watched couple of clips here and there, and I don't know the full plot. But, it is about a single mother who agrees to sleep with her wealthy boss for money to treat her son's illness. I know that much, but the rest of the story - I have no idea

The build up in KA was different, both the ml and fl had enough interaction before they started this track and it was the boss who put forward that condition as a test to see if she was a gold digger. He used to hate women thinking they were all gold diggers cause of mommy issue and thought she was different at first. She refused his offer but lastly agreed since time was running out for her son..they both ended up hating each other until slowly both realized they were wrong about each other..if sadaf just straight up offers herself like that, that is just bad writing...

I’m struggling with this too. I get that desperate times call for desperate measures but Bilal seemed willing to help. The only thing I can think of is that she is aware that her father was not comfortable asking for the money. He was trying to list the house and look for alternative ways to make money. If he didn’t ask for the money, maybe she feels that avenue is not open?

I don’t know because Humsha said that he has never been inappropriate with her so clearly he has boundaries. What happened to that girl that worked before her though? It's not like she has explored let alone exhausted any possibility to secure funds. To go straight from zero to I will let you bang me for money makes zero sense. We never see the cktr being pushed to the point where this is the only viable option. And if BA sleeps with women, why does she think he will be willing to pay her 8 crore for a one-night stand? It's not like she knows he is lattu over her, or that he routinely hires escorts. If they show Sadaf doing this, it'll certainly demean her cktr and make her look dumb.

Sadaf is a middle class Pakistani girl from a conservative family. Selling your body for money is a social, legal, religious TABOO. That''s like saying I am too proud to ask for a loan so let me do a bank heist. Or I am too proud to ask money to buy chicken so let me slaughter some runaway street children and eat them instead.

... Are all these ppl who are close to her ok with working for someone who purchases women's company? And how is she ok with them being ok with it??

Exactly... Like in KA we see katha being pushed with no option left... She begged her in laws who hated her.. She started a gofundme.. Asked for loans... She even in desperation asked her insurance agent will her child get the money if she commits suicide... You could feel her desperation.. Here she just gets up and randomly decides this..

And like you said, why the hell does she think someone will pay 8 crores for her.. it sounds absolutely crass and every human life is invaluable but how did she even decide that a person who had met her once would be willing to shell out so much for her?

Won't she have better luck actually telling him why she needs the money and using her father's death to emotionally compel him to donate.?

exactly..just because she learned that he doesn't believe in marriage, doesn't mean he is paying money for women

also how did she conclude that he will be willing to pay that much money for her? what is so special about her? she isn't even aware of his feelings for her yet..they have barely interacted at all...not to mention it would completely ruin her acchi larki image.. I hope the promo is misleading and we are being way off here...

I’m confident that just based on the fact that he is in general very generous with all his employees and thought of Mirza Saab as more than an employee, he would be willing to pay the money with no issues.

What doesn’t make sense to me then is that line about Sadaf not hating him anymore. Why would you hate someone who was there for you at your time of need?

Also what is that piece of paper that gets exchanged between them. That seems so shady

With cancer, the timeline can be anything and so far they haven't actually shown that kind of urgency that he doesn't have much time left..also like bips mentioned, you don't just throw stuff like that with someone you have barely met until you have exhausted other options like asking for loans etc..and bilal already mentioned the other day if they need any help, they can ask him...

In KA, there were some conditions from the fl after they both consented like how they won't speak about that night, mention it to anyone else, etc etc..but at this point no idea what it means for SMD...

we won't know until the story progresses how he decides to help her and what happens between them for her to say the line regarding hate...also if it's her who puts forward the offer then it makes less sense to hate him cause it was her who put that idea forward but yeah if he does agree then she could maybe hate him thinking he took advantage of her when she was vulnerable but again if she doesn't tell him what the money is for, the hate kinda becomes moot...
