All the promotional posters , OST or even the dance sequence isn’t written by KRQ . May be that’s why we can’t connect. If Sadaf never loves Bilal then it is not a love story.

Oh she will. That I’m sure of. Bilal’s “selfless” love will finally win her heart. End happy hoga I’m predicting. Problem is if I’m invested in the story.

I was expecting long unnecessary repetitive dialogues by KRQ. But Haseeb has made all of it twice as excruciating because of the looong pauses and lingering shots.

• There is a shot of Zaviyar drinking milk for 13-14 seconds.
• After Sadaf says "abba ke jaane waalon ko maloom bhi nahi hoga woh chale gaye" we get 56 seconds of silence where camera lingers on Sadaf's mom face, on Zaviyar's face, Sadaf's face, and then Sadaf silently watching her mom cry for 40 seconds straight.
• There is a line that Zaviyar says "jab bukhar hoga to pata chal jayega mujhe". After this, the camera zooms on Sadaf's face for 5 seconds. Then Sadaf says "bohat ukhre ukhre bol rahe ho". The camera then zooms on Zaviyar's face for 5 seconds. Then Sadaf says "dimagh toh theek hai na". Basically that one-line dialog "bohat ukhre ukhre bol rahe ho dimagh toh theek hai na" has been stretched by adding camera zooms on Sadaf and Zaviyar's faces for 10 seconds.
  
• There is a 9 second pause between the estate agent saying "yeh Naamdar sb ka number haina" and Sadaf saying "ji". In this time, camera pauses and lingers on Sadaf's face. Another 10 seconds pause where we see Sadaf between the call ends and voiceover where Sadaf remembers Zaviyar saying we need the money
• etc. etc. etc.

Some scenes are definitely slo-mo-ed. Not so slo-mo that it looks obvious but slo-mo enough that physical movements look lethargic and unnatural. Just go to scene starting 19:01. Zaviyr's and Sadaf's movements look unnaturally slow. Plus the first dialog in this scene doesn't happen until 19:24 mark. So all we see is 23 seconds of Sadaf plugging in phone and Zaviyar eating breakfast in slo-mo.

KRQ ke lambe dialogs toh seh bhi loon but these slo-mos, long pauses and lingering shots are intolerable. I never speed up shows but had to do it with this. How do you expect anyone watching live TV to put up with this. They can't even speed up and will just change channels. It is giving me Habil Qabil post E20 PTSD. It's done more deftly here but the underlying principle is still the same.

This kind of painful stretching Haseeb added in editing is excruciating for a watcher. Isse behtar tha last 10-15 epi mai flashbacks daal kar drama stretch kar dete. Did director, content team, PH, actors not watch the show post-edit and before it went on air and gave feedback that this artificial stretching needs to be fixed.

Only sadaf and her family scenes look slowed. Wahaj scenes get over quickly. You just blink and he's scene gets overThat golf scene was just for fcuking 1 min. I mean you specifically go to golf course, and shoot, just to show it for a min. Same with grave scene. They shot it at 6 am in the morning only to show that scene for 30 seconds

Even usama hira scenes were normal. Idk why they dragged and took such long pauses for sadafs family scenes, maybe to make it more effective but it turned out to be dragged out and boring.

Most of Wahaj's shoot was done in Nov-Dec when Maya didn't even start Since then he has been back and forth between Lahore and SMD sets. Not to forget the Usama-Maya-Hira shot for an entire month after he was completely done! Keep your expectations regarding his screen time in check and do not be disappointed.

Yeah his telling that story to everyone 🤣 I get that he’s hurt over it and it’s haunting him but he needs more scenes than just that.

I think him not having family is the point and the reason why he has become the way that he has. Loneliness is part of this character and explains some of his behaviour. He had some nice conversations with Mirza Saab. I actually really enjoyed their scenes but those will be gone now. Hopefully we get Bilsad scenes now though.

Agreed that too much time spent on the others. They promoted this heavily in Wahaj’s name so hoping they won’t let us down.

Jokes aside, (and with fully agreeing that particular dialogue is making more appearance than necessary, even with how well Bilal baba is imitating his Mirza sahab!) have you noticed the three ladies to whom he is repeating that dialogue (so far, of course!) and their respective reactions to it? With the escort, the way her eyes dimmed when she really grasped the meaning of the words and the way she cut the call speechlessly was a quite nicely enacted. And Humshaa takes short breath of shock when she heard him saying that and evidently masked it by looking forward. And we will see Sadaf's reaction for it tomorrow!

the shot of bilal sitting down at his fathers grave and looking sad/doing dua was 15 seconds long, while the scene of zaviyar drinking milk was 13-14 seconds long

This is hilarious! Did you actually timed these scenes in seconds...?

Since Zaviyaar's drinking of milk seems a hot topic, may I point something?

It was Sadaf who gave him the glass of milk before Mr. Mirza's death and he drank it. And then there is another scene where Farzaana overspill milk while boiling and then she dropped the glass of milk she brought for Mr. Mirza upon seeing her husband lifeless - a life lost!

And then after Mr. Mirza's death, we again see Sadaf giving her brother his glass of milk - if you ask me, I think Haseeb might be giving hints, who knows!

They’re slowing down and building suspense over stories people aren’t invested in. As much as I am moved by Zaviyaar’s illness, that isn’t the main plot of the story. They are treating it as if it is and it’s a final reveal that we’ve been watching the entire drama to see unfold. It’s just a story that’s leading up to her circumstances to interact with Bilal Abdullah. I felt the same when Sadaf was trying to tell Daniya about who Ammar actually likes. She took forever and there was even an interruption, like no one is that invested. It isn’t some big revelation in this drama that we have been waiting for. It’s at the intro stage. Just move on with it.

If the scenes are slowed down between Sadaf and Bilal, I won’t mind because they are the main plot. But something tells me that they will just speed past those.
